Thank you for sharing this is a big help. I am getting ready to make my first!with a 5” foam. Question: some people advice doing the edges first and then buttons/tufting. What are your thoughts on this? Also, is there a fabric type you prefer? I think I’d like a softer look/feel. Thanks!

Thank you so much for the tips and more in depth information you provide. It’s the small details that are important but so often overlooked. Every little bit helps! 🙂 Looking forward to your suggested cushion video.

    Hi,
Thank you for this tutorial. What type or size foam would I use to make a very firm bench cushion?

Great tutorial. How long does it take. I just completed one the fabric was quite a big weave so I had to stitch and anchor each stitch ( had to use at least 6 strong threads run through the needle)before continuing to the next. I felt like it took ages, my seat pad nearly 2m by 600cm.n

Amazing, finally a well guided video. I wonder, does the size of the cushion shrink little bit after adding stitches and the buttons? Would you add extra allowance to a foam size?

Yes it does! I have recently put out an in depth course that talks in detail about that and how I handle it workroomchannel.pathwright.com/library/french-mattress-cushions-194153/about/

What if you wanted to make a really really fat roll? Would you need to make the cushion looser? To allow for that extra scrunching?
