The only reason I can think of is that they're at the end of the game, they both have seen their entire deck (or almost) and there was a Myotismon Ace in hand, turning the Bakemon into a blocker with retaliation, so it really didn't metter
Myotis Ace blocker retaliation, -3 mem and gain 4 mem, and bring back malomyotis. It's a really nice new cards we got
