I loved seeing this. Seeing a piece of home that I really never got to see honestly. I grow up around Frankfort Ave, so I never really went around downtown Philly at least I don't remember much. I moved to Florida when I was 10. So thank you for giving me a piece of my home.
I did not expect to get emotional watching this vlog! I've been living in Philly for about 6 years now and I've grown to love it. Seeing the city and places I've been through your eyes really highlighted the best parts of Philly. It has a bad rap and has been neglected so much in my eyes. You showed me a couple of new spots to visit! I hope you saw Laurel Hill Cemetery it is such a beautiful and peaceful place.
I don't know why it gets a bad rep. In my experience visiting a lot of places, everywhere is 'dangerous' but in truth most cities are all about as safe or dangerous as others. I adored it here, and would absolutely love to visit again, as you said, so much to explore!
Loved the dance in front of the fountain💕it looked like you where so relaxed, happy and having fun😺nice to see you and Mint together enjoying exploring parts of the city...those cemetaries looked incredible and must have felt serene and just wow (no words, just feelings) That coffee, the Old Fashion was very interesting to watch being made...Love your cinematography and those drawings are incredable...thank you for sharing

Your comment about loving cathedrals reminds me of a friend who visited me many years back when I lived in Europe. We in Bruges (aka Brugge), and she was sitting quietly looking at the Madonna of Bruges in Onze Lieve Vrowekerk (the only Michaelangelo sculpture outside Italy, I believe). After several quiet minutes of just looking, she commented, "It's easy to be Catholic in Bruges" and went back to just looking for a few minutes more. (FYI, neither of us was/is Catholic.)
Matter is so, so cool. The wall of skulls was one of my favorite exhibits last time I was there
I love where you said, "...touched some grass and took some photos." I'm scottish/filipina and have an almost sociopathic need to walk barefoot. But...I live in the AZ desert where you Do Not walk barefoot! LOL A scorpion sting cured me of that!

The cemetery where Franklin is buried is a very interesting area. When I ran the Philly witches meetup group I had a member of my group that was a ghost hunter and she went on a hunt at that cemetery and they posed for a picture at the gate of the cemetery before they in for the hunt and in the background of the picture they saw the Egyptian God Anubis, the God of the dead standing there watching them.
Bookshop cat has the same ginger and white colors as my kitty!! His name is Seymour. I think I would go check out the Quaker museums if I was in Philly, as they have a history of nonconformists. Lovely video.

Had i known you were coming to town i'd have suggested you go out to valley forge. beyond the toruist spots for the revolution there are some very powerful local spirits in the wooded hills at the west end of the area.

My sister went to school in Philly, so the entire family was up & down I-95 for several years to move her in, move her out, visit for events, etc. I remember that walking in the city was a wild experience -- 1 block would be upper middle class homes, the next would be abandoned industrial buildings, the next would be lots of interesting small shops, the next would be apartments, the next might be historic, the next would be a drug market, the next all fixer-uppers filled with yuppies, and so on. :-)
