  • It is important that you actually know how to properly dismount.
    The emergency or vaulting dismount is the best way to train your body to dismount quickly and safely, if anything or to go wrong with the horse and you are less likely to get caught in the stirrup.
    Especially if the horse is tall, you try to step down using the stirrup. There is a high likelihood that you can overrotate. In end up on your bum.

    Wow I am not that strong 😂what I do I swing my outside leg over but still have my foot in the stirrup 😅then lean over the Saddle and get my foot out and slide down 😁

      Ultimately you wanna keep from stepping down if possible, There are so many things that can go wrong from overrotating and falling
      To accidentally queuing the horse to go sideways. If you can make it a goal to take your foot out of the stirrup and grab the pummel, and the cantle and gradually slide yourself down, that is another method. However, this is very much reliant on you, Having a good horse that accepts it and the upper body strength to slow yourself.
