The EXACT same thing happened to me with Viori. The first weeks were mindblowing, I fell completely in love with it and ended up buying a bunch of other fragrances 🤦🏼 After a couple of months, my hair was in such a horrible state. Oily scalp, FULL of buildup, dull boxy lengths...a nightmare! I lost clumps of hair, which had never happened to me before *And yes, I do use a clarifying shampoo weekly. My kitsch got my hair back to normal (better than that actually) but I just started using it, so let's see. Hopefully the story won't repeat itself with it. 🤞🏼
Hi Brit! Thanks for reviewing these bars! I use Kevin Murphy product and was obsessed until10 years late my hair is going through a change! Oily scalp dry ends. I’ve tried EVERYTHING, leave in conditioners, oils I have 5 different shampoos I use all ranging from $36-48 for a normal sized bottle. I have protein & moisturizing conditioners. My hair is Fine but I have a lot of it and have natural waves. I bought the Kitsch conditioning bars both the shea & rice water. I stopped drying and flat ironing my hair. The shea bar was an instant fix for my dry ends and my hair was so full! I am traveling and used the rice water conditioner and my waves are insane. I think the shea butter bar is more like a treatment for me that I will rotate with. I’m shocked that I like these products because I am a total hair snob. Aveda is the cheapest thing I use on my hair. I was wondering if you have tested the rosemary scalp oil or any scalp oils?
I was surprised to see your low reviews for Viori after watching your video on TH-cam and reading your review on Google. I finally ordered it on Black Friday and used it the first time today…I really enjoyed it and was surprised at how much lather it created and even more surprised how soft my hair was after rinsing the conditioner out. That said I will have to use it a few more times before I really know how I feel as I have very long hair. Thank you for your honest review!xo
They both are better than what I was using (Monday). Kitch made my hair feel soo good and clean. I have long color treated hair. It used to be coarse but I’m older so it’s thinned a little. I found the viori conditioner bar harder to apply. Shampoos are comparable. I like the smell of kitch products. I went through the conditioner bars in 3 weeks. Too fast. I feel like Viori makes my hair more tangly. I vote for kitch.
We've been using viori a year or so now, I'm 100% confident the bars are getting smaller! The last order our conditioner bar was so small, like 1inX1in. I've also noticed my hair is not as soft or smooth even with using the conditioner. Considering trying kitch or some other brand
They are! Used them since last november ,I've placed 3 orders since every 3 months and the conditioner came cut in half, cut slanted and smaller I emailed them and they told me "they packed more product into it with a new machine" " it'll last longer" which it absolutely did NOT.. 3 months like always I ran out of it. The shampoo bar my latest one which was the herbal tea did last and it's still half it's og size but the conditioner I feel like they're cheating us on it.
The 1 inch bars are their sample bars from their Discovery lines. I’d check to see if they just sent you the wrong ones. I have bars sitting for months and months and they are roughly the same size
With the smaller bar it sounds like a sample bar. They are very small compared to the full size. I just received an order last week and they are about 3”.
I’ve been using viori for a couple of months. I really like it! My hair isn’t graying as fast, feels stronger and I can go longer between washing. You do have to spend a little extra time rinsing but it’s worth it in my opinion.
I have a sensitive itchy dermatitis scalp and very coarse thick wavy salt and pepper hair. I just tried Superzero solid shampoo for flakes and itches and it made my scalp feel less itchy. It also made my hair shiny, soft, and bouncy. Love it so far!
I have long, fine hair that gets weighed down and the scalp can get oily. I adore the Ayuna shampoo bar. Odacite is also really nice. I have been recently using Viori shampoo and conditioner and have been really pleased. I do wash daily. That said, the Ayuna is my ab fab. Love the review. Thanks!
I used Viori for a month, it’s exactly like what you said, my hair looked shinier at first but not really more moisturised, and after 2 weeks my hair felt dryer and dryer…it could be oilier on the scalp but dryer on the end… (and their conditioner bar did not work at all).. and more hair was falling out … think I’ll stop using it.
I've made my own shampoo bars (way too much work and tons of expensive ingredients! lol). I wouldn't be against trying other brands, but I like Viori a lot, its amazing on my hair. Plus, I kind of like that some of the money goes to helping a tribe.
I was trying to decide if it was the VIORI or something else. I have been using for about 6-8 months. I love the feel of my hair and it does seem to allow longer time between washings. I normally have very dry hair. My boyfriend noticed a big difference within a month and recently asked to try it. Problem is, my hair is falling out. Not a little, but a lot! I realize hair falls out each day. My hair was really thick and now I feel it is so much thinner. Is it VIORI??
I read a review about hair fallout and my hair too fell out a lot the first few washes. I watched a dermatologist video on thin hair. Minoxidil is used for people who want to regrow hair (it’s the ingredient in Rogaine) and the dermatologist mentioned that older, weak hairs will fall out at first, but you keep using Minoxidil and stronger hairs will grow and take their place. I figured the same for Viori. For me personally, it was true. I stuck with it and found that I have way less hair fallout and I feel like my hair is stronger. But everyone’s body chemistry is different. Try an unscented version of the rice protein shampoo and conditioner if you’re using a fragrant one. Fragrance can make a difference to the strength of your hair, especially if you don’t realize you may be experiencing an allergic reaction to it.
I'm glad I'm not the only one! I've been using Viori for almost 3 weeks and my hair is falling out a lot! I'm not sure if I should continue using it. I already have very thin fine hair so it looks like I have a little.
I’ve been using the kitch for the last 6 weeks the castor oil shampoo and Shea butter conditioner as my hair is very dry and with dying and colour before it was very dry used a declarifying shampoo before using initially. Ive it’s been really my hair feels soo much better but I only wash once a week and every three days just use conditioner one and once out the shower use a leave in conditioner my hair is naturally wavy and have found using this way my curls feel soo much nicer ps I only dry my hair with electric tools once every 4-6 weeks as wear my hair up for work
I understood Viori’s ingredients. I’m not sure what you mean about them not being transparent. Maybe the fragrance is a mystery but the rest easily understood. If I don’t know what a chemical is exactly I will look into it further. Anyway I liked their products alright enough. I want to try the other company now.
I like Viori but they copy paste their ingredients. All of them are the same ingredients no matter what. The only difference is the name and fragrance. I found that odd
I been using Kitsch for about 6 weeks and I love everything about it BUT there is no way the conditioner last as long as they claim.I use ever other day to every 3 days and Im half way threw my 2nd conditioner bar..I have thin strands of hair and my hair is shoulder length so I would think it would last longer like the shampoo which Im still on my 1st bar..I contacted the company to see if they could advise a different conditioner and I didnt get a response..Looking for a new brand to try..
I had a very similar issues with Viori, I’m glad someone is being honest about it. If I remember correctly, I think my scalp eventually started breaking out in zits and it became really itchy, on top of the film being left on my hair. The conditioner was really hard to apply vs the Kitsch one. So I stopped it after maybe 2 or 3 weeks.

I can’t believe I spent all these money on these small bars. I personally feel that my head itches with Viori which is something I didn’t have issues with before.
I've had that reaction with other hair products, the irritation. It's why I try not to test too many out on my hair/scalp. Hair is tough to figure out because it's so personal I find.
My hair feels silky and soft after using the Viori shampoo and conditioner, I like them. But I will say I don't wash my hair with the same products from one time to the next so I don't know what it would feel like upon repeated use. I don't can't say I like it so much that I'd buy them again...I'm a bit of a butterfly when it comes to shampoo and conditioner. I flit from one to the next lol.
I have curly fine hair and did NOT like Viori. It left my hair dry and brittle. Feel I still have buildup on my curls . Haven't tried the other product
Ive recently tried viori i tried hidden waterfall shampoo & conditioner, citrus yao shampoo & flower garden conditioner just overall my hair hates viori and even when i rub the shampoo bars to get lather in my hands then apply it to my scalp so much of my hair falls out comes out onto my hands which isnt normal im now too scared to even touch shampoo bars with any protein in them again since i have high porosity hair 😢
I've only tried the Viori so far. Now, I'm only on day 2, but I'm really disappointed. It has been leaving my hair looking very greasy and dull. I have been very careful to lather and rinse thoroughly. I will try it without the conditioner next time, but I'm not optimistic. I definitely got suckered by the attractive packaging and stellar reviews. I think I'm going to have to leave the shampoo bars behind entirely - I just haven't had success with any of them.
I recently purchased a shampoo bar from The Earthing Co and I adore it! I washed twice. It made my hair feel squeaky clean, which I didn't know if I would like. But after using conditioner, my leave in conditioner, and a tiny bit of hair oil on the tips of my hair, which is what I would do with any shampoo or conditioner I'd use, my hair is SUPER SOFT AND SILKY! Their limited edition vanilla chai scent smells like a cookie, and isn't super strong. I went back to their site to buy more vanilla chai so it lasts me until next year. Good luck finding a good bar. There are good ones out there! I also tried Viori and The Earthling Co definitely feels different.
Try the citrus Yao bars by Viori. They are the best out of all of them. I am using the hidden waterfall at the moment. It okay but not nearly as good. I bought the bundle with all the bars. So the citrus one is the best. I have really long thick hair. I’ve been using Viori for 5 months now and am really happy with it. You have to make certain you get enough shampoo on your hair to lather and wash it well. My hair feels so strong and healthy👍

I use Kitsch Rice Water Shampoo and Conditioner bars AWESOME. I also use Rice Water to soak hair in 2 hours!!
Amazing! Glad they work for you. Thanks for sharing. 💜
Do you feel any improvements with hair growth using the rice water shampoo bar?
2 hours?
You're over using the rice water.. It can make your hair go drier later. Rice has lot if protein and that can be over bearing for hair n scalp

Hi, how was it after several times of use?
