Who’s here after watching the Irishman
I was a jewelers/gold smith apprentice and a polisher years ago. I got good with basic sizing, crown setting, stone setting, soldering on lots of neat things. But this is art. The only thing I ever got close to this was I made a ring similar to this with a bezel set star sapphire in a silver setting. Not as fancy but that’s the only custom piece that was ever requested of me. But this is cool! We never worked on custom pieces like this. Just basic wedding sets, earings, pendants. THIS is a true gold smith. So cool! Good job man! I would have loved to have learned from someone like this.

I've only just started and finally was able to solder after many hours of trial and error (turned out I wasn't using enough heat). I'm starting out with Copper for now to practice. Even with Copper I've put many hours into perfecting small simple things. I have a lot of patience and high attention to detail but lack the knowledge and experience. Can't wait to attain more knowledge and wisdom. I'll make something great of myself if I keep up this dedication and hard work.
