It gives me great pleasure to hear Bills material like this I had never heard before(until now). Its like unearthing buried nuggets of sonic pure pleasure.
The lead melodies are so beautiful I almost don't want to hear the rest, but the underlying interplays are just as hypnotic. The whole is a synergistic marvel built layer upon complimentary layer. The arpeggiated synths ...and who needs three chords when you can do this with only two ? (^;
I have this as subscribed to "Acquitted by Mirrors", Issue 2 was first copy I got and IIRC came with a black metal Cocteauesque design badge declaring "I was a Nelson Novice". Some 35 years later, I still love this track and also saw him play it live as part of the Quit Dreaming/ Practical Dreamers tour at the Edinburgh Nite Club back in 198. Sir Bill is nothing short of genius
To simply say ditto would be unfair but we must’ve sweated it out in Edinburgh at the gig almost shoulder to shoulder. I remember Bill and the band hopping in and out of their blue VW van after the sound check to sample a pint uptown and then swiftly return for the performance. My favourite part of this track is the full-on ‘voice’ of the e-bow. Lost that wee badge too although the discs and magazines are safely stored.

Even in '82 his amazing talent is present...Bill continues his musical expertise...Simply ONE OF A KIND.
I am in a trance...INCREDIBLE. What an outstanding piece.
Music to beautifully phase out to
