I was 5 years old and playing this on a guitar that was bigger than me it was my next door neighbors Series 10 flying V guitar most wicked ass guitar I'd ever seen to me for a 5 year old was pretty damn cool
You gonna dream, make it big. Love this band. Kicked out so many kick ass songs in their prime. No band knocks it out of the park every time. The bands themselves will say this if they are even close to "reality." There was plenty of material I wasn't interested in hearing. Ever. On a lighter note, Tom Petty was asked what he thought about so-called bands like marky mark/boizetomben etc....he sat there silent for a moment and said he liked his bands (that he liked to listen to) to play an instrument. It was great. In fairness I used to like "For The Love Of Money" by the O'Jays in the 70's. In fact I liked a lot of am band top 40 pop music because it was all I knew until ......one day I put headphones on and was surfing the entire FM dial on our home stereo receiver (thanks for that dad, you rock) and when I landed on KISW FM 100 Seattle's Best Rock at the very beginning of Running With The Devil by Van Halen.....the descending tones, ominous plodding bass guitar note, shrieking piano keys, Ed's ripping chords, Dave's "take no prisoners" vocals....I live my life like there's no tomorrow. For a kid with so little exposure to much beyond The Eagles, Elton John, maybe a little Steely Dan (spelling?) and Hall and Oates, stuff I would hear on the school bus if the driver was cool and turned on the radio for us. Man, times were different. Speaking of time, I've way, way overstayed my welcome here. The irony: a 20 minute rambling "comment" after a 2+minute song/video. Check out local band Fifth Angel sometime. I was friends with James Byrd for some years and Kendall Bechtel dropped by my espresso biz a couple times with James when he was recording lead vocals for Byrd's release Crimes Of Virtuosity, released in late '97 or '98. Kendall handled the lead guitar on Fifth Angel's second album, Time Will Tell. They had a video on Headbanger's Ball for a short time. Kendall also played lead guitar and sang lead vocals on their third album ?The Third Secret? Going back further his band Sweet Sister Sam kicked ass. His then wife was a regular customer if mine, gave me a cassette tape. Blown away. "...upside down and out like a twisting turning thing..." the man is a monster. Taking over lead guitar replacing James Byrd was nothing to sneeze at. They're all noticeably crazy as well. I relapsed and went overboard again. It's all part of recovery....
Is this song the BREAKING THE LAW BREAKING THE LAW I'm a metal machine It's close to midnight and he's barking at the moon I'm a metal machine The rainbow in the dark is shining
That Sabaton song is a tribute to many great rock and metal bands including Judas Priest. It also has references to Iron Maiden, KISS, Black Sabbath, ACCEPT, etc.
When the law is not right, to break it is the right thing!
bend it, if it breaks then it's the integrity that failed it. 🖕
