- How to properly use your sight scale to built a sight tape! This will also explain why I run Archers Mark instead of a sight tape, and show you how the program works with your sight scale!

Haha glad to help!! It’s just nice to have options if you need to. Randy Morocco at the last ASA had a problem and I showed him this last minute so he could run archers mark on the fly, and he ended up winning the tournament! So even if you don’t plan on using it it’s a really nice back up option if you get in a pinch :)
Paige ! Very good info.. like this is what needs to be put out there by the pro shooters, I knew this info already, but imagine the amount of people that didn’t! Wow.. like you said randy Morocco having an issue at the last ASA.. if you never shot any kind of long distance people may never know. I truly feel these need to keep going, like more, tell us why the lenses you run are the way they are, or how to get the best sight picture with changing apertures, etc. maybe even explain to people when you change aperture, you are actually going to have different sight marks.. a lot of tech tip info like that is what we need in this archery world !!! Where would you put your site if , you ranged the target at just say 40.4 with rangefinder, when archers mark only gauges on full yardages , guess I’m asking is, do you even pay attention to tenths from your rangefinder or just use solid yardages.
What do you do when you are shooting WA field? Didn't think something like archers mark would be legal. Do you just setup a tape from archers advantage?

Archers mark does not. But archers advantage does. You can do marks or a sight tape when using them but they don’t have an app it’s an online program. So if I have a tape I print it from archers advantage by plugging all my same information in, but then I use the marks off the archers mark app :)
Say the target ranges for 30.3 and my 30yd mark is 24.45, and 31 yard mark is 25.15, what do you do then?
Altitude will make your tapes off along with barometric pressure for they day.Sight in with a good calculation and use the sight tapes for quick reference is the correct way to do it.

I have and other question. Plz i want to know what lenght of sight is better 6" and 9"? Advantage vs desavantage?? And what it will do for the windage and elevation adjustment? I know, their a lot of question, but its hard to have true and honest answers for a beginner in archery. Thanks for all the info!

How do you calculate 1/2 yardages using the App?
You just count the clicks. If one ends in 42.2 and the next yard is 43.1 it’s nine big numbers between it so 4.5 would be half. So 42.65 would be your half. It’s even easier if it’s like an even number between them obviously. But it’s not hard to count to see what your half way would be :)
What lens do you use?
The feather vision Verde plus in an 8 power for everything except ASA and I run a 7 there

What about poundage. The app doesn’t appear to factor that in based on the video
It’s not a factor. Poundage doesn’t matter at all in that system or archers advantage. When you tell it the two marks you shot plus the measurements it calculates everything it needs based off that info. Poundage wouldn’t ever matter :)
Someday this will all seem like sliderules vs calculators. This is way, way too complicated.
It's not that complicated
It's not complicated but I don't think it's very well explained. She talks too fast and kind of skims over things. As I said it's not complicated but I think the way she tries to explain things makes it seem more daunting than it is.
