The success of the strike should be measured by the amount of increase or decrease the ACT scores made. Looking at it from the B.O.E.'s point of view, an average district ACT score of 16.7 does ask the question, are the teachers doing their job? Maybe it is not a pay issue but a curriculum problem. Would a better curriculum produce better ACT scores therefore warranting better pay for better performance? If I were a parent in Waukegan, I would be sending my child to private schools.
the bad thing is now the parents have to pay more for registration. I get it they want to get payed for teaching. shit my teachers told us if want to become a teacher for the money well don't you won't get paid as much as you think. Do it because you want to make a difference and want to teach. so now kids we out of school for a long as time and had to go to school during the holidays to make up for those day. I don't know but they should of done that during the brake not during the school year.
This was amazing! Than you!
Thanks so much, that means a lot.
