Hour later check in, hour earlier check out. Less staff. Disney: “energy efficient! Sustainable!” Nah, just cheap. Do better than a 4 pm check in for a $5k/night room. If it takes 6 hours to turn a room around you need more staff.
That’s what I came here for. The 10 am checkout. Our rooms are already “ready AROUND 4pm” which is later than cash paying guests and times that I have been many weren’t ready until after 5 pm. Now with a 10 am checkout, that totals 2+ hours less in the room in a 24 hr period. Sounds like punishment for being DVC. And don’t bother trying to excuse it by saying “how long it takes to clean these rooms”. How about hire adequate staff to clean them timely instead. This is not okay.
I have to shout out to AJ! So many reviews on this New Disney Hotel, personally, this is the best, clear on everything, yes, we would stay, even though it’s not traditionally Polynesian style, looks amazing. Thank team DFB 🎉🎉🎉
We bought Poly points relatively cheap in 2017. Now we finally have 1 and 2 bedroom choices! I love the look of the tower and can’t wait to spend our DVC points there.
It’s a theme park, the Marriot isn’t a theme…They could’ve nailed it with rainbow glass, pink sands, swirled balconies,Polynesian art on the brickwork, tall palms and hibiscus themed pools and smells of the pacific…Who would’ve needed the islands..ok imagineers, get to work, love the Polynesian
Is Quincy from All Ears your reporter? Because this came on just after her review and it sounds like the same review...😂 Looking forward to that salad and those fireworks views when there in Feb!
Location location location. I've traveled the US by vehicle and can tell you if you're in the middle of nowhere the rooms are much cheaper than when you're staying in a city or resort area.
The price tag is frankly ridiculous, and it's just another island-themed hotel you could see in any other tropical setting, just with some Moana sprinkled in. If I was going to spend that kind of money I would much rather stay in a room at the Poly than Island Tower.
Used to be owning Polynesian DVC was owning a piece of Disney history and their best hotel. Wish they would’ve stuck to the 1970 concept art for the tower
looks more like a fancy Holiday Inn Express. I wouldn't pay that kinda money for THAT hotel/motel/holiday inn.

This is so horrendously modern there is barely anything Polynesian about this hotel

Those views are lovely!

It looks like a nicer Drury…..the views are amazing, the food looks better….but that’s it?
Nice hotel

Exciting. Our family Christmas was good. My mom went to visit my Grandpa for a few hours
5,000 per night you say?!
What happened to themeing
It’s not Disney, looks like a standard hotel off property
Imagine letting a corporation direspect you like this?

This is for DVC, not for the park. Money grab.
So when we say Polynesian themed, do they mean modern? 😂
Lord Iger's corporate theme park, equipped with drabby cheap overpriced corporate hotels. No magic or fun to be had here.
Total eyesore. It's even worse in person.

@ Totally agree. Disney theming is what made it so special.
Ah yes the four elements, earth, air, wind and fire 😂
Nothing is worth the money anymore. Spam and rice pearls? oh gawd
