I got it fixed the next day. Just need 1 bolt to replace one that holds the hoses to the frame. That ws not a cheap fix either. They want a lot of money per foot for hydraulic hoses. The price is twice what it was several years ago.
Tim, thank you very much for the ride through the field. Enjoy riding when you're cultivating. We finally got some much-needed rain here at the little farm. Beans are looking much better now. Even got some more emergence from cousin's corn. PTL 🙂🙏🙂
You are welcome to come ride anytime. I'm going to miss Cousin scottie. I really appreciated him emailing and messaging me when I was sick. He became a true friend in this weird TH-cam family thing. Thank God there is a place called Heaven. Praying for your family.
I love that field cultivator, seems a perfect match for the 1086! Man y'all cant catch a break. Hopefully the rain wil still be around this summer. I bet that hydraulic hose repair wasn't fun or cheap. Thank you for bringing us along, hope things dry up for you soon 😁😁👍👍🌽🌽🌽🌱🌱🌱
We had this conversation several years ago about being in Ohio, lol. We got .3 that night. It's almost dry enough to do something today, Friday, but it rained again last night. I left for work this morning, and so far, a nother .3 and still raining.
I'm hoping to get some drone video this year. Just need my son to be available to fly for me. However, with the aurosteer on the tractor, I might be able to fly and drive at the same time. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I disc it last fall. For our type of soil, a disc works much better as a fall tillage tool just as a plow, ripper, or a chisel plow would be used in the fall. Some guys do it in the spring, but it works much better in the fall.
@TAHDAHFarm Yep here too. I'm in northeast nebraska. if the weather permits we try to disc the stalks in the fall and field cultivate in the spring. Good luck on the planting season, I just finished yesterday.
I don't know what the usda is saying about planting progress this year, but I can say that for here in my area, we are in the low 20% of having seeds in the ground.
I think it is a spot where the lateral hit it coming across. Just waiting for the field to dry out. I thought they would be able to get in there today, Monday, but a storm blow in last night that was not in the weather forecast. We got a nother inch. So much for everyone hitting it hard today.
I love tillage videos more than all others. Hope you get your leak fixed quickly.

They go nicely together. You are correct. It was not cheap. It is looking like a wet summer.
I have no idea why I always thought you were from Washington state lol. We are getting this weather tomorrow out in NW Pennsylvania

@@TAHDAHFarm Yeah but I don't remember much these days lol
I told my wife all the time, if I didn't write it down., you didn't say it, lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I could watch that 1086 pull that field tiller all day👍🏻. Sadly at the end, another breakdown. I pray this year they’re few and far between. God bless

Curious why you don't disc the stalks then run the field cultivator through right before planting?

What size and make/model is that cultivator?
IH-4600, and it measures 23'. It has an Unverferth 1 bar harrow and 1 rolling basket on the back that is 24'.
Well it was working good until it decided to spring a leak.

That must be where ours went. We had a 95% chance of heavy thunderstorms and didn't get anything
