The moisture munchers doesn’t last very long. However you can take the crystals out the cylindrical holder, microwave them until they are blue, put them back in the holder and they are good to use again
They are good for one dive in sub tropical conditions. Aliwal Shoal South Africa. Possibly a second dive. Need drying after that, like I said in a microwave oven. Good to go after that. ALSO HAVE SPARE MOISTURE MUNCHERS ON HAND. I Suggest storing small sachets of desiccant in the housing when not in use. In the way you save having to use the moisture munchers in the capsule for storage.

Hello Sealife team, I got this casing for my iPhone 12 Pro Max and I love it, my question for you is: Can I used the casing for the new IPhone 13 Pro Max? Thank you for answering. Jose
My wife had a better phone than I do. I’ve thought about upgrading my knockoff GoPro to the Hero 9, and getting her this. I’m weighing the benefits of the GoPro vs this. I like that you can put the GoPro on a stick to get a shot without having to get as close to the reef, but of course then you can’t attach lights as easily to it like you can a tray rig.

I really hoped it has a built-in dive computer or at least a pressure sensor showing current depth like ScubaCapsule's Head's-Up-Display. Still, it looks like a solid high quality product that can greatly reduce the workflow of underwater photo / videography compared to a GoPro.

The app and firmware were updated to silence the audible alarm after initially sounding. It’s also possible that the vacuum sensor is damaged. We can test the housing for you anytime.

While my unit will be for the Android (same diff), my question is if they plan to make a filter for lakes/quarries. Basically green water color correction instead of the red filter for blue water color correction.
Yes, the Sportdiver works with all iPhone 13 models. You can load the free app to see the available settings. We continue to add more features to the app too.
Yes, the Triple lens setting will switch through all available lenses as you zoom up/down. You will find the zooming value chart on the SeaLife website troubleshooting section #29 - www.sealife-cameras.com/sportdiver-troubleshooting-technical-updates/. I hope this information helps. Please let us know if you have any questions.
May I ask how to lock the phone while diving? I mean if we don’t want to take a photo for awhile… or we need to open the screen like that until ascend?
Not through the rear door of the camera, nor does the Sportdiver App support the selfie lens on the phone. You’d have to do it the old fashioned way and turn the housing around, better anyway since you’re shooting through the port’s optical glass. Set the lens to wide/ultra wide.
Should not be a problem but we don’t suggest going beyond the depth limit, it also depends on the phone used inside. No, you can’t use the front camera.
Is there a lens protector or lens replacement kit available in case it gets scratched? I see there is a screen protector - but have not found a protection for the lens itself
We include the red filter which also doubles as a lens protector, it is replaceable for only $20 usd. We recommend using the included case for travel protection and storage.

@@sealifecameras Oh dear. So you mean that the case comes with an O-ring pre-installed and the O-ring in the white envelope is the Back-up O-ring? Oh, you got us in tears of laughter over here in Europe! Thanks!
Hi Aaron! The phone must be unlocked and SportDiver app running when it is inside the housing. For security reasons, Apple iOS does not permit any wireless device from unlocking the phone. The app has a power save feature which dims the screen by 80% and turns off the camera. Push any button to “wake-up” the phone. Also turn off any apps running in the background to further save battery power. With these power save features, the phone’s battery should last at least 2 dives, so there is no need to open the housing between dives.
One question though, I just got the iPhone 12 mini, would it fit? I assumed it would, but if someone can let me know it would be great, it’s somewhere close to the size of the SE just slightly bigger.

Hi Erwin, When the SeaLife SportDiver app is open, the phone or tablet will not auto-lock regardless of the auto-lock setting. Please make sure the latest app update is installed. Go to Google Play for Android or iOS App Store to check that you have the latest version installed. Let us know if your device is still locking with the app running. Email us directly at service@sealife-cameras.com. Thank you.
I purchased the TG6 and while it takes OK photos I found the screen is too small and the buttons too small and fiddly to use reliably and know what you're doing underwater. I think this could solve many of these problems. It looks more work to set up though.
If there's moisture inside the housing you'll want to leave the moisture muncher capsule in there. You want to make sure the inside of the housing is bone dry. Be very careful when releasing vacuum pressure or opening the housing after a dive by making sure your hands and surroundings are dry.
Save desiccant packets from medicine bottles for storing the housing. You can also rejuvenate the Moisture Muncher by putting it in a $5 container of Damp Riddle a week or two so that you aren’t having to continually throw them away.
Really. Not on Android phone to show it as an example. This just reinforces why i made a pass on this. It is catered to iphones and android is probably a half baked buggy afterthought
We are using this housing and it broke at 32m deep. We lost a brand new iPhone 13 Pro Max. We do not recommend at all this product. Do not put an expensive phone into this , the product is not reliable. You can find in the market housing that is rated to go down up to 80m, that will keep your phone safe.
We stand behind our SportDiver housing, and it is by far the most reliable dive housing for smartphones. We have not heard from you off-line so please explain the problem to our dedicated service team
@@RodGwinn Sealife did replace it for free. Apple charged us 650€. The new housing never left its box as we are filming with iPhones and we do not trust anymore the Sealife housing. @@sealifecameras - I have tried the 14 Pro and the 11 Black side by side (not in a housing) and I’ve found that it really depends on the light you use. “No risk of flooding” is a bold statement…I think they said the Titanic had “no risk of sinking” too…;-)
Is there a way to recover accidentally deleted footage?
Possibly, if you deleted from your camera roll, check the app roll - it may still be there.
Can this be used with an Samsung S20 Ultra??
Sorry S20 Ultra will not fit, we are working on a solution!
Does it mean that the iphone will be constantly on?
No, the phone goes into a power save mode and turns off the camera, touch any key to wake it.
hOW I WANT TO BUY THIS sEAlife ?
You can purchase the SportDiver on our website here! www.sealife-cameras.com/product/sportdiver-underwater-housing-for-iphone/
Hey guys trying to find a way to contact you. Just ordered one of these for an iPhone 12 Pro for shooting surf and wave photography etc.
Don’t suppose you have any plans to make like a trigger style connection that attaches to the bottom do you ? Cough like and a axisgo cough 😜
We're looking at a grip/trigger system, we're getting lots of interest from surf photographers so this could be a good fit. Thanks for the feedback!
@@sealifecameras ahhh epic, would be amazing if you did
Hi Just another quick one. Been testing app whilst waiting for the housing to arrive. I notice you cannot shoot RAW in the ultrawide lens and in video you can choose 1080- 4k but cant amend the shutter fps say 1080 at 240 etc. Is this me and user error or functions not yet implemented ?
@@futurerevolt the wide lens works without any problem in RAW, the zoom function however does not (in RAW). We are working on more & higher fps options and will introduce those periodically in the future.
@@sealifecameras excellent can’t wait to try it next week when it comes
What’s the max depth you can dive with this?
40m/130 ft.
Le sirve iPhone 13 Pro Max?
Yes, works with iPhone 13 pro max
Your housing welcome screen, does not say to, turn lock phone to never, I miss few dives until i figure it out, would be good addition to the list is already displayed.
Erwin, with the latest app your phone will not go to auto-lock so it's not necessary to turn the lock off to never..
Thank you.
Does it fit to iphone 12 mini?
Yes!
can we fit in an iphone 13 pro max?
Yes, it’s one of the most popular phones for the Sportdiver
Don't get me wrong , this a cool product but it's more expensive than a straight up Olympus TG-6 ...DAMMMMN!!!
The housing is $349
I purchased the TG6 and while it takes OK photos I found the screen is too small and the buttons too small and fiddly to use reliably and know what you're doing underwater. I think this could solve many of these problems. It looks more work to set up though.
Don’t store your moisture muncher in the housing when not in use. It will turn pink quickly
Hey! The mode button stopped working any idea how to address this?
Which phone and did you restart the phone/app?
@@sealifecameras Iphone 12 pro. Yes I did. The issue seems to be that the outside button is not touching the inside button.
@@alexvat1995 okay, please contact us at www.sealife-cameras.com/contact/
@@alexvat1995 we’ve not seen an issue like this in the past, we’ll certainly get it resolved.
@@sealifecameras thank you!!
Why is all the advertising and explaining only combined with iphones? Is there any thing doesnt work with android phones? like the zoom in the app?
we developed the iPhone app first, our android app works great, you can download it and check out the features
why go thru all these step for the housing, gopro must quicker
The choice is yours!
How much pless
$349, please go to the site for details
Really. Not on Android phone to show it as an example. This just reinforces why i made a pass on this. It is catered to iphones and android is probably a half baked buggy afterthought
The Sportdiver Android app works as well as the ios app. There’s nothing “half baked”.
What was the reply from the company when you contacted support? I have not seen any other reviews of catastrophic failure.
@@RodGwinn Sealife did replace it for free. Apple charged us 650€. The new housing never left its box as we are filming with iPhones and we do not trust anymore the Sealife housing. It was also dangerous to go back at the surface in emergency in an attempt to save the phone.
We moved to weefine now and the build quality is way better and can go deeper (80m deep).
@PapaRod We have by far the best support!
@@labocean9451 Good luck!
Does the iPhone 14 Pro Max fit in this housing?
Yes, it’s the most popular phone in the Sportdiver Housing at the moment!
