I started using the machine almost 10 years ago but around 2015 or so I sold it for a Garrett AT/pro and realized as fun as the Garrett was in the water, it was not in the same league as the T2 on land, so I bought another T2 and still use it today. It is a powerful little machine, and so lightweight, you can comfortably swing this machine all day long. I hunt with fellas using new Minelab Equinox 800 and GPX4500 machines and my old Teknetics is still in the mix and kicking butt lol. I just love it. If Teknetics could make an all terrain version T2 that was waterproof, it would be just amazing! I bought a Simplex+ machine a year or two ago and I continue to use the T2 over that Simplex+
The T2 manual says when you first turn on the detector it is in Discrimination mode. You said in the video it comes on in the prospecting mode. So which is it? The reason I am asking is I just ordered one, I should get soon. Jim

Metal detectors are measure in inches not feet or meters. The T2 can reach close to foot on larger coins and medal. Several feet on very large objects.
I still use my T2 Classic in 2023 and absolutely love it. I always come back to my Teknetics ❤

Bit late to answer your question, but the T2 boots up in disc mode for version 6.0, the 6.5 & 6.6 versions boot up in all metal screen first.
If we purposed detect for ore gold only what we need to do?

mine comes on in dis mode also. thats fine with me since I hunt relics in that mode. Easy to switch over to all metal mode also.
