These ladies are the real deal. They are currently on their own tour of Ireland. Just before the tour, they opened two nights in a row for Status Quo. Those were the ONLY sold out shows on Quo's tour. I think Dea Matrona had more than a little bit to do with that fact. 🤘🔥✌️
Yes . These ladies are from Northern Ireland ( Belfast ) .They started of as a duo ( the two guitarists Orlaith and Mollie ) before adding a drummer ( Mollie's sister Mamie ) . The two guitarists swap bass / lead effortlessly depending on the song They do both covers and originals are being prolific songwriters . They are mainly a live performance act hence their excellent busking . Their range is wide , rock / pop / folk , doing all very well . They've recently gone back to a duo temporarily as their drummer has stepped down to pursue further education . I'd say all their stuff is well worth checking out !
FYI, this is a Fleetwood Mac song from the 60s. YES, they are hotties. But there are a lot of pretty girls playing rock on the internet. But these women are excellent, versatile musicians and with a little digging you will find that they WRITE excellent, catchy songs. They play a wide range of styles and play them very well- wait until you hear them harmonize. And, YES, the only knock on them is that their songs are TOO SHORT.
The band members are Orlaith (pronounced Orla) Forsythe on guitar and vocals and Mollie McGinn on bass guitar. Mollie's younger sister Mamie is the drummer, but she just left the band to continue her education as she is only 17 or 18. Orlaith is 21 and Mollie 22.
I failed to mention both Mollie and Orlaith play guitar and bass and will swap instruments depending on the song and both handle lead vocals and their vocal harmonies are amazing. Mollie can also play piano and drums, I am not sure if Orlaith plays other instruments besides guitar and bass
Here are some originals: Make You My Star th-cam.com/video/VGyFc7PSXzg/w-d-xo.html, Glory Glory (I'm Free) th-cam.com/video/M-ByDtOKK_U/w-d-xo.html and Stamp On It th-cam.com/video/9Ldkj-f6N2k/w-d-xo.html You can see their versatility.
If you have not heard The Warning then you need to check them out too. The Warning are three sisters from Mexico who are absolutely terrific as well. They are also young, at 22, 20 and 17 (similar in ages to Dea Matrona)
Here are some rocking covers: Stevie Ray Vaughan th-cam.com/video/ptpvxL7uxuU/w-d-xo.html, Rory Gallagher th-cam.com/video/4J6z1xGYd4c/w-d-xo.html, Van Morrison th-cam.com/video/Ur4iLsXmoeU/w-d-xo.html and Cream th-cam.com/video/JtUQlLLgJJ8/w-d-xo.html

Thank you so much
We have so many good busking bands in Belfast.

I'm waiting for some more Dea Matrona reactions. They are going on tour across Europe this year.
