Great step by step guide. Thorough testing. Impressed that you took the garden hose to it in such cold weather. The doggy in the yard and the sheep next door were cute additions.

Looks a nice unit, dark coloured, ruined by a white usb charging lead. They need to integrate the charging lead better especially for the solar charger

Hey! thanks so much. This is awesome. I was curious if you can make the lights come on as sensor lights when someone arrives home? cheers!

Can the solar panel charge more than one camera by using a micro usb splitter or you need a solar panel for each camera you want to install

Hi please can you help me with a setting on this Camera please.
I have purchased this identical EZVIZ Camera only this week from Amazon UK and downloaded the app and it's all set up and working.
But there seems to be a feature missing on the Live View Toolbar, and it's to manually turn on the LED Flood Lights, so how do I turn on the Flood Lights manually?
    Any help would be appreciated.

This was a great video! Did the solar panel keep it charged or did you have to plug it in?

Can you please confirm what the detection range is on this camera at daytime and night time, how many meters away can it detect a person from accurately?

I just bought this off amazon but sending it back. Kinda concerned the magnetic attachment isn't strong enough to stop the camera from repositioning or coming off in high winds.

I have H8C need to know if the plug into the camera is water resistant I got water into mine and camera go ofline, what about rainy days and mist , surely it must not get water.

The usb connection between the solar panel and the camera is not IP65. With wind and rain water will enter vertically the micro usb port. This has happened to mine in a few months and no longer charges.

@@user-cz9eu4qf4u I used some dialectric grease and some clear silicone to seal the usb plug. Now it is well protected from the elementts. I have it on a boat on the ocean and has sealed really well

You forgot to mention about the encryption. Guys once you set the camera up an set an encrypted password. Don't lose it as theres no factory reset.

What about the solar panel. I thought the most interesting thing about this camera is the battery life and the solar panel, right ? Does it charge OK ? Even in cloudy conditions ?

    • @lords-electrical

Yes it does charge ok even on cloudy days as long as you position it correctly

Surely the solar panel and its cable should be the same colour as the camera...White doesnt match the grey/black of the camera.

NOTE: In the EB3, which is the latest model of the brand, when you are in the "surveillance" zone and you want the camera to stop detecting and recording images non-stop, THERE IS NO BUTTON to do it. You have to: 1) Click on "disarm camera", which will prevent you from receiving notifications or the visual or sound alert from going off. 2) Go to options and change the operating mode to super energy-saving, so it stops monitoring, detecting, and saving video clips to memory. It's a complete nonsense and we hope that EZVIZ includes a button in the APP to do all this in one go
