I've been watching a few videos about this camera tonight and yours was by far the best by a huge margin in fact! Your video totally sold me on this camera and I'll really like the way you shot it with the selfie stick walking around the neighbourhood like that! Some of the stuff that you said had me laughing out loud and I'm not joking either! It's really refreshing to see somebody speaking out against the masks etc on here! Great video! You can't do your Rule of Thirds in tracking mode, which must be crushing for you. Still, for the money the FIMI seems good enough as a starter vlogger.
Great stuff! I still don’t know what to use for golf course vlogging second camera. New iPhone, 360go 2, osmo action or one of these... I’d love good audio in wind without separate mic just for ease of use, even if I add a diy wind fur over it. Any ideas?!?

Do you know a good cheap external mic that works well with it mate? I don't know which 9ne he was using in the video here either?
@@ghosthunternumberone It has to a low voltage mic. Because if not it wont work. They dedicated very little power to the mic on this cam.
@@LelandReview Yep, I know. So does the Feiyutech Pocket, but I can turn it up no problem with my editing software! But I was asking what's a good external mic for it? Camera Conspiracies told me any lav mic will do! But I watched this other video where when this guy was using an external mic, everytime the wind blew it would distort & cut out!
@@ghosthunternumberone As long as it gets enough power. The mic should work like it does on any other camera. As far as I know.
@@LelandReview Oh, I'm confused though as it just plugs in via the mini jack plug right? So the power will only come from the camera itself right? So why wouldn't it get enough? Unless I'm missing something?
I wish you could show us the cameras more from the outside too. Maybe even have small thumbnails of them on the sides of the screen?
Have you thought of vlogging with insta go 360 although it's more of a POV camera lol maybe if there is a way you can hook it up to a gimbal it's apparently a good wide angle
The Fimi Palm 2 picture looks pretty damn good imo. Colors looked pretty accurate and skins tones are good. I like seeing the background clearly. For a walk around casual vlogging camera, this seems like a good choice. The Osmo Action camera is pretty good now too with their latest firmware. I'm selling my GoPro 8.

The Fimi looks good, smooth footage. It has reverse toneh, though, where the background is sharper than the foreground.
Wow, this looks really good, at least in the video after the first bit which looked quite soft or unfocused. I prefer this zero toneh to the not so well done toneh on the dji pocket 2.

Get a lens cover for the Fimi Palm 1, that only covered the head of the camera.
You’re not on the Insta360 train? Go2 for vlogging and a 360 camera with a selfie stick is the killer combo.

Original Fimi Palm only came with a little lens cap which you might like. It's possible this lens cap will fit on the Fimi Palm 2 too since the gimbal head looks very similar in size. Just don't drop it with the lens cap. A user has documented how dropping their Fimi Palm with the lens cap on ended up snapping at the gimbal arm
I don't know if it was a lighting or shutter speed setting but there was some flickering going on in the background. Overall I preferred the Fimi.
Cool, i actually use the Galaxy S20 FE for all photos and videos. I think it's really great, except that there is no 4k 60fps on the ultra wide
DJI pocket 2 is still better for vlogging than any of those things. It has the complete package with little compromises.
90fps for crossing the street seemed like the sweet spot to me. Not to mention, the slow-mo actually looked really good to me.
You left off the Z50 which can be had with the 15-50 kit lens for around $700 on ebay.
My #1 Lav Mic problem with my Phone.... The damn case is in the way and even though I think it is plugged in all the way, it ain't (that's what she said!)

I had high hopes for DJI Pocket 2 but it failed so hard. If it only had everything build into the hardware instead of that crappy module you have to add to it. I so wanted to buy that camera but it failed to much for me. GoPro is a nice option but I might get the original DJI Osmo pocket as I can get it real cheap. You could use a smartphone but I find the issues with audio and problems with android and apps not a solution.

The Fimi Palm 2 looks interesting, although I would really like to have 4K60. Even the Feiyutech Pocket knockoff has it.
The biggest issue that it isn´t sold in my country, I could only order it from China, it would take ages to arrive and not really cheap anymore due to import duty.
For the love of god, don't. Unless it's going to be sold internationally or you're fluent in Mandarin. Otherwise you'll go mad figuring out what's what.
I won´t for sure, for the said reasons. But I presume the version for international sale has english menus.
Still, I wouldn´t have warranty if it would come from China.

The Fimi Palm 2 never had your face in focus. Looks like the minimum focusing distance is about 3m, so not great for vlogging, but nice if you want to admire the houses in the background. Still with tiny sensors everything is almost in focus I guess.
I think the fixed focus on the fimi part 2 is superior to the DJI. The reason is that the DJI has had focus issues, and the background is important.
Does it work with any lav mic?

this review is funny. its the best action cam image ive seen in a long time. As someone wanting to see the place as well as you, i prefer the fact everything is in focus. The dji looked lousy, only the go pro competed with it. And for the price, its a bargain. Normally the pocket 2 looks much better though, so i dunno why it looked so poor in this review.
I think fimi palm 2 is good enough for normal youtube vlogging if you don't intend to create a cinematic scene. Maybe sony A6400 + Signa 16mm + fimi palm 2 combination is the way to go.

For walk-around audio, consider the Tascam DR-10L audio recorder. It just simplifies the whole content creation process.
