Thank you for taking me along to Paris. I’m 77, n pretty sure I’ll not get there. I enjoy the runner’s weekend vids, n seeing the events and food. Jim Freeland
watching this is the next best thing to being there. thanks for another fantastic runner’s weekend vid, allowing us to live vicariously through your amazing adventures, Mike!
These runners weekend videos are becoming my favorite Kofuzi videos! Reminds me of my favorite travel vloggers but with running at the heart. This is literally my dream trip!
"You have captured the spirit of the Olympics at its best! The way you've portrayed the essence of this global event truly reflects the dedication, perseverance, and unity that the Olympics represent. The passion and commitment of the athletes, the sense of camaraderie among nations, and the celebration of human potential all shine through”
As a local I’m pissed that I’ve missed that group run but while you were enjoying your diner on the 10th at night I was getting ready to run the marathon for all on the Olympic course. The atmosphere was amazing and that race will live with me forever. So glad you had a blast in my city but if I can help next time with your choice of beer in Paris because that is not real beer at all!
the fact that you were wearing fluorescent yellow at the most epic corner in the history of the olympic marathon blows my mind.. you are marked for eternity 😁
Wow wicked vlogg-absolutely buzzing! So glad you witnessed Sifan Hasan win the marathon and you had a Korenburg 1664 bottle in your hands at some point. Well done Ko, you captured so much in 45mins
I know I wasnt asked, but my favorite moment was the banner saying "Eu amo cerveja" in the volley ball arena. As a brazilian, I couldn't agree more! ahahaha
that was brilliant and I would have watched multiple more episodes recounting the experience. I felt so immersed as if I was there myself. The houses, the parties, the atmosphere, the people, the great city of Paris, the athletes, the group run and more and more. kudos to you as this seems like a truly unique opportunity and you captured it so marvellously !
What a great coverage. So lucky (great work) to have those moments with all the sponsors. I was running the 10k (no luck for me with 42k) it was a so powerful time, a unic moment for the amateurs (Matathon pour tous)
Another excellent addition to the series! It’s one thing to watch the Olympics on TV, it’s another to watch on Kofuzi’s channel. But I am surprised this episode is not longer than Tokyo
As a fan of track and field, I appreciate watching your adventures at the Olympic Games where the coverage is little or trapped behind paywalls. Thanks for documenting and sharing your time there.
The Runner's Weekend series is some of the best running content out there, I love the shoe reviews, but it's always so nice to get to see more of you and your personality. Also very jealous you got to go to the Olympics 😭 Looks like a blast!
The video that all of us were waiting for 🙌. Great work as always! So cool that you watched the brazilian beach volley duo that won the gold medal. I hope you come to Brasil one day, Rio marathon maybe? Guaranteed you'll love it.
Man, you're living life! Looks so much fun! 1:48 made me think about back in the day when you were running along the waterside in Chicago, combination of the motion, angle and sharp edge to the water I guess. :)
I was there the same weekend, I watched the mens marathon at almost the exact same locations you did. It was really great to be there and watching your content reminded me how special it was. Keep up te good work 👍
Awesome stuff Mike🥳 It's been a while since our last chat .. Great footage all round and thanks for sharing you adventure in Paris. It feels like I'm there right beside you albeit, vicariously... Paul
Citius Magazine interviewed Conner Mantz, who said that the pack started out at 2:11 pace. I don’t know what that translates to, but when I slowed down for a couple strides, I couldn’t catch back up no matter how hard I sprinted
Thanks for sharing your journey with us who didn't get to be there. Have been really enjoying these contents from you. Keep them coming. BTW, the pin trading thingy is quite fascinating for me. Never thought it is a "thing".
Awesome travel vlog! Hope to see you in LA for 2028 Olympics! It was interesting to hear your plans about tech & gear for capturing the moment when I had the opportunity to meet you during the Asics summer tour. I think this turned out well. Thank you for showing behind-the-scenes with footage from the ground level. I don't think watching on TV or streaming on Peacock can truly encapsulate the Olympic journey for these amazing athletes.
Well done as always Mike, the pin trading place is awesome brought back memories of swapping baseball cards. I had to do a double take as you resembled Raiden from mortal kombat for a split second in the gear
Thanks for sharing your Olympic experience. Didn't know about all the houses for each nation....that was pretty cool. I'm going to miss the Olympics. I'm hoping I'll get to see the LA Olympics in person.
Also, I had no idea there was so much to do at the Olympics... I always thought it was just watch sports and go site seeing lol this makes me want to go to the Olympics for the festival that it is!
One of the most vicariously fun moments in this was your actually being in the NBC studio (thanks to you sister) and seeing it from you POV as opposed to having seen it daily for 2 weeks through the official cameras, on TV.
I love the runners weekend videos. I do question how much objectivity shoe review channels like Believe in the run can have when they’re sponsored by ASICS like that.
People said the same thing when we went to Germany for Adidas Road to Records And they said the same thing when I went to Jamaica with Puma for track Champs
@@kofuzi Its just my opinion but I don’t think it’s possible to be critical of a shoe at risk of losing those benefits. I still watch all your videos because I really enjoy the content, but others I only watch for reviews I feel less likely to use. There’s a reason they had to stop physicians from receiving gifts from Pharmaceutical companies (even if they got it from every company equally) because an implicit bias was found in studies amongst those receiving benefits.
This is the best video you have ever done .. the shot running with the start was a total flex. I thought of you when I saw night before marathon run. Hope to see you run by chess pavilion someday Ac Chicago
I love the, OMFG it's the Olympics, gets the Kofuzi runners weekend treatment. I love Paris, it's where I took my first not with my family holiday as a 19 year old 30 years ago. I need to go back, it's been about 20 for me too. I'm Irish, live in GB so love the Irish singlet getting a feature along with Team GB!
Wow...What a great video Mike, hello from Slovakia, fun fact: there is the oldest marathon in Europe in Slovakia in city of Košice (last year it was 100 years celebration) 2nd oldest on the world after Boston marathon.... Maybe sometime in the future after all majors you will want to check or even run (fast course) some special marathons in the world. It's my local race. Atmosphere is great that's little idea for you😂
Great video as always, but I must say, I'm a bit disappointed you didn't cover (or at least mention) the first ever olympic event open to the public, the Marathon Pour Tous, on the evening of the men's pro marathon. 20,024 runners lined up at 9 pm to run on the same course as the pros, and boy was it spectacular. The crowds were insane, there were lightshows, obviously the sights were amazing... Honestly a bit surprising that you let that opportunity pass.
@@kofuzi I understand that, also I'm sure (I mean, I saw) that you had many places to be at, not to mention the women's marathon was just a couple of hours later. Still, I feel like it would have been worth mentioning. Lots of love from Germany ❤
Just play the intro of this video with the OST of Tekken 8 named "Liberation". Thank me later 🔥🔥🔥 Glad i met you at the Shakeout Run in the Louvre!!! 🙌🙌 Take Care 🤝🤝🤝
happy for you to have a fresh pair of superblasts.. was looking forward, but Asics doesn't keep up. No sizes available for normal folk. Pretty lame for a company this size.
My understanding is that there will be new colorways in September, once the Olympics are over And generally, if there is a shoe that is sold out, make sure you are talking with your local run specialty. It helps the retailer in placing orders, which in turn helps guide launch colorway inventory projections for brands.
@@kofuzi are you planning to do anymore races in Cali any time soon? If you do please keep me updated I would love to do the shake out run with you and your team. Thank you and happy running!

Best documentary coverage of the Olympics in any sport, 10/10
