Currently owned 98 Honda Prelude Type SH. This is car is extremely reliable, fun, and sporty. Definitely a timeless car that has everyone turned their heads.
I also own a 98 sh! But let’s address the elephant in the room…. These cars are cursed. Somethings going to happen at least once a year yall. So you just need to be ready cuz it’s so worth it.
@@jaxonmilligan3803 Frs I’ve had mine for about 6-7 months and 2 months in and someone already tries to break into my shit and almost got away till we caught him midway hotwiring
at 10:10 preludes don't burn oil, you need to replace your valve stem seals (which is usually an age issue or an owner issue, and considering that preludes used be ragdolled by the previous owners, that probably fucked up the engine a bit)
I got a 5th gen base with adjustables and all so far to work on, absolutely great car, mine just needs a good bit of work to fix the throttle response, paint and fitment lol Somehow it don't burn oil though idk how, but it does leak oil lol
I bought mine brand new back in 2001 just because I heard it was the last year’s production. A few months ago I finally decided to change the timing belt for the first time after owning it for two decades. It sure requires some maintenance all along. But all easy to work on, even for a none-mechanic me.
I’ve been trying to decide what car I want for my first real project and your videos have really been inspiring me and making me want a prelude, they are so clean! Much love
I keep going to meets and have yet to see another 5th gen or any prelude in general, mine isn’t the greatest looking but it sure does get attention, but man parts aren’t either super expensive or just real hard to find. But feel like this car will get the fame it deserves real soon, they’re appreciating like crazy
First car was a 98 auto with 164k miles. Second car a manual 97 with 98k miles rn 😎 literally love the prelude to death, you will actually fall in love when you get one
Hey stay clean if you want more power they have awd and rwd conversion kit an bam more powa some dude is swapping a 2jz in a 5th gen rn I follow him. Pretty cool
Love the channel and the content! I have a 1999 Honda Prelude Base model Manual Premium Pearl White, just blew the motor, finna get it back on the road soon!
Today I discovered two Honda Prelude’s that are well within my price range, but I know nothing about the car. And then the first video that pops up in my recommended is this one with the title “should you buy a Honda Prelude?”... I think the universe is trying to tell me something.
The 97 prelude easy to work on and maintain? Same goes with the auto, since if I want the prelude and the only option is auto, how's it go? Bc I'd like to try to manual swap it
@@CalvinLude alright, thank u for letting me know. Just found about ur channel, I was just looking to see if the preludes were a reliable car since I saw one on the market for like $3000 to see if it's worth it or not and I came across ur channel about it and def goin to support u man, keep up the great content.
I think I just motivated a prelude Sh owner to not sell his car. I hope he doesn’t sell it. I own a 1989 Honda Crx si with a b16swap and had to slap myself for even thinking of selling it. Prelude is a breed of its own and they are also rare nowadays
Got one for 500 today, beat up after guy hit 2 deer, I’m 17 and can’t wait to build it up and make it worth, also realized man had 0 oil in the car, dipstick was dry
They should have come at a minimum with six speed and rwd. But if they were that setup i wouldn't have been able to get one :) It should have gone against the altezza etc
And it should have come with HID option (the jdm magazine showed one on the front cover with white beam like hid) unless it did? And optional electric steering from euro r so it makes the bay clean by getting rid of pump
Dope videos bro! I swear the past couple have been bangers, KEEP IT UPP with the fire ass content u on the come up
Haha I preciate that bro! Just cause of this comment Im boutta bang out some more!!

Throttle response for sure on the Prelude is really good! On the Lexus is350 I need to step on the gas pedal more than 1/4" before it starts to move.
Yeeee 🤪 we all torque no high end hahaha

You can but it'll break down eventually lol

FREAK YEAAA! We the forgotten ones!
Parts are getting hard to get now actually. I’m enjoying mine now and driving it hard before Honda stops making the parts in the near future.
