@@chadbear8759 I see what you're getting at, and I think laws need to change to make digital ownership more ironclad. For instance, I would like to see a law that forces companies to issue a full refund if a customer is ever denied access to a digital purchase for longer than, say, 30 total days each year (which would more than cover any unplanned outages). But really, the games that are most in danger of being lost over time are the ones that completely rely on a server for you to even play them. That's one big reason Stadia was never going to work. With my PS5, I can store my games on the internal SSD and the add-on SSD I purchased. If the servers were to go down tomorrow, I would still be able to play God of War Ragnarok like nothing had happened. Owning physical copies is more foolproof than what I just mentioned, but it doesn't account for patches and expansions. If the storage inside someone's disc PS5 fails at some point down the line, they'll be able to install their games from disc onto a new (or maybe just reformatted) SSD. I bought the digital edition for 1 simple fact alone, I have ADHD I play games for 5 to 10 minutes at time so switching to digital helps me just jump into a random game without the wait of getting up every time to swap out the game. But that's just me and my disorder
My main reason for going with the disk version is because one day the PlayStation network may remove a game, it could no longer become available. the same thing Nintendo did with the DS and the Wii U they closed the store down but still allowed people to download their games, but they could not purchase anything from the store anymore, Told consumers that they were doing maintenance but really they are discontinuing the service for those systems so I’m going to stick to the disc version by a disc folder and keep my disc games clean. only irresponsible people let their disc get scratched up and become completely unusable and they are lazy as hell to not want to get up and change their games so I like being able to play both digital and physical because trust me Having the best of both world is everything!
for me the only benefit of digital is when games are on sale 80-90% off or when a physical copy is too hard to find or not available, what happens when the servers shut down? no more re-downloads or patches

My biggest problem is my ps4 I am constantly deleting things to make space for new games. So storage concerns me, but extra $200 for extra storage seems like allot and is it necessary.
Or wait for the Pro. What's another year?! Especially since 'current gen' isn't really getting off the ground just yet. Opinions may differ ofcourse, but I haven't seen nothing yet that I NEED to jump on to current gen. But then again, my priorities have changed over the decades. I had the same with the PS4. When I was finally able to buy one, word of a Playstation 'Neo' began to arise, together with Project Morpheus (aka PSVR). It was then still a year away, but it was a wait worthwhile. As I'm into VR, the Pro was a good choice, as I didn't come accross troubles with VR that PS4 OG/Slim users had. And even if you don't go for the Pro, when that arrives, the prices of the PS5 OG/Slim will go down.
Not to mention the disk drive puts a lot of work overtime on the unit from spinning constantly. Digital is better because it runs off internal storage. Way faster
If you can afford a digital one, then i assume you can wait just a little more and get the physical one. Unless you maybe aren't planning to get many games for it, i'd always rather have options. At least with the Series S you have gamepass and other benefits but you really aren't saving money with the digital PS5 most of the time. To me, it just seems very dumb not to spend that extra 100 and at least give yourself the option, but the Slim is looking promising so far.
I have an original ps4 uncharted limited edition and still work I stopped playing like year ago since I also have the ps5 but ps4 is a great console also that enjoyed a lot i if just i see now in digital games more convenient way to buy and play games .
True But the disc is your proof of purchase . I bought a used disc game of "Jedi Fallen Order" for $15 Canadian . The Digital version is $58. The Question of Disc VS Digital has been asked and answered . Yes the game is not on the used disc it still needs to be download but at a better price than PS Store has . RDR2 sells used in disc for $20 Canadian and PS store still wants $79 for that old game .
Bro that is entirely untrue, i still don't get why people think this💀. Games used to play directly from the disc but nowdays, the game gets copied to a storage device and plays off that instead. You just gotta put the disc in for anti piracy measures and guess what, no such thing as internet required! Its just a design choice these modern consoles went with which has its pros and cons.
I always love physical games because i do love see covers game and games in my hand ✋️ archive games and And the important thing is that when physical games become old, their prices drop after a year of release, but the digital version is always the same price. I think digital games should be cheaper because of the cost of the disc and its writing.. frame and cover. The seller's profits are all deducted from the game
I'm currently saving up for a PS5 and my local Walmart has the disc edition for $499 which is what I want. I have a dresser drawer that I keep games in and I like having a collection in there.

tbh the ps5 controller resembles the ps2 controller, i mean the ps2 has these push functions on the buttons and the ps5 has adaptive triggers and haptic vibrations and when the mute button on the ps5 is on it looks like the ps2 analog lights, you know the red light that lights up when playing on ps2
I have the ps5 disc version because it is always fun to kick up a good ps4 game that I have on disc. Also, I own GTA 5 ps4 version on disc so it worked out for me. Its really down to preferences of the bulkiness of the console.
I bought a used disc game of "Jedi Fallen Order" for $15 Canadian .
The Digital version is $58.
The Question of Disc VS Digital has been asked and answered .
Many ps4 disc games get the free ps5 upgrade now .
@Crashed131963 exactly! I knew I was going to buy the disc version from when I first saw it. Tbh, the design of the console really isn't that much bigger than the digital. Also, it's nostalgic to pick up the game case. Pop that shit open and put the disc into the drive.
So the ps5 disc version plays ps4 games? Thats cool
@@GoCards1983 Better yet many ps4 disc Games get the free PS store Ps5 upgrade.
I bought the used Ps4 disc of Jedi Fallen Order and got the free Ps5 upgrade that plays at 1440p/60 fps rather than the normal 1080p/30 fps.
I bought a Ps5 to play my Ps4 disc collects. Ps4 Games are better with 5X faster loading times .
I bought the digital edition for 1 simple fact alone, I have ADHD I play games for 5 to 10 minutes at time so switching to digital helps me just jump into a random game without the wait of getting up every time to swap out the game. But that's just me and my disorder
It is honestly an underrated feature. It changes the user experience especially for adult with RESPONSIBILITIES
You know the disc version is digital too right? 😂
@@berrex5152 you know The world doesn’t revolve only around you right? 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
What's the difference? (AND I WANT The Slim model)
Kind of wish they had the different color options for the digital version also vs only having them on the disc version on the playstation website
for me the only benefit of digital is when games are on sale 80-90% off or when a physical copy is too hard to find or not available, what happens when the servers shut down? no more re-downloads or patches
Everything you can do on the digital you can do on the disc version...
Not really , digital u don’t own the movies , music , or games digitally they can be taken away after u paid to not own
I have the diac version and I just love it
Im a mummy dropping by to survey for my boy....thank you for the video and the comments....ill be getting my son the disc version 😊 since he like to collect disc on his shelf.
My biggest problem is my ps4 I am constantly deleting things to make space for new games. So storage concerns me, but extra $200 for extra storage seems like allot and is it necessary.
Cant u still download digital games on the disk version as well?
Yes
any performance different between digital and disk?
The PS5 SLIM is SLOWER. The original is better. 😂
I still prefer and have the disc version of the console. From experience digital games crash often.
Better wait for the slim version which will be available this fall.
source?
Sauce?
@error is right
Or wait for the Pro.
Slim gonna look like a wifi router
Black Friday, I seen more disc that was on sale. Plus like mentioned, you can play Blu-ray Disc movies.
disc version can play my PS4 discs.
I would choose the digital bc it is faster and easy and I buy all my games in ps5 so I don’t buy disc anymore
There is no need for a disc drive on any device. The discs don’t even have the entire game. You have to download it anyway
That’s why sony will take all your money genius.
That's actually a really good point lol
Not to mention the disk drive puts a lot of work overtime on the unit from spinning constantly. Digital is better because it runs off internal storage. Way faster
Wait so if you get blue ray you can’t get digital games?
What if i used disc games on my ps4? Can i still play them on a digital ps5???
not unless you have them digitally downloaded
remember guys if you go digital, sony gonna take it back without you agreeing.
Great video but is it just me that is kinda irked by the scratches on the ps5 used?
The digital version is the best option, especially if you have high speed internet.
We caught john wick on his day off
If you can afford a digital one, then i assume you can wait just a little more and get the physical one.
Disc version will always be superior…best of both worlds
I agree and that's what I got.
I buy both but will always buy physical given the option.
Why would you buy both.. Just get the physical one
@@nextgencupidno, they’re saying they buy mainly physical games and only get digital games if it’s cheaper and or if it’s the only option.
same here!! i just love being able to have my games dics!!
How much memory do you need to store all those digital games? Whoever says digital is cheaper never has visit a gaming shop with used titles.
Pro tip: "Buy the most popular games on ps5 disc and don't open for 20 years" sell for $1,000s.
underrated channel
not all games are digital some were removed from PSN. Good luck playing the amazing Spider-Man 2 or back to the future telltale on the digital ps5.
🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️just wait for it to come to the psn shop when it comes out and buy it
@mylsthegreat299 it’s never coming out I’m talking about old delisted games
@@TimDespairBear11good thing I don’t play those games lol
Im getting ps5 for christmas so i would go for digital because the disc will soon wear out and won't work after a single touch
The games don’t even come on the disc any more they just act like a key that opens the lock on the internet.
True
But the disc is your proof of purchase .
These comparisons are about top 10 pros and cons and 90% ads
I always love physical games because i do love see covers game and games in my hand ✋️ archive games and And the important thing is that when physical games become old, their prices drop after a year of release, but the digital version is always the same price. I think digital games should be cheaper because of the cost of the disc and its writing.. frame and cover. The seller's profits are all deducted from the game
When I bought it I definitely bought the one with the disc! Why buy one without? It just doesn't make sense.
because no one uses discs

In you're delution yes but in reality no
@@heavensea141 you tried to do something there but you couldn’t even put up a proper sentence 😂 make it make sense son
Which version is best????
Disc
@@The.world.has.gone.crazy... Thanks!!
I'm currently saving up for a PS5 and my local Walmart has the disc edition for $499 which is what I want. I have a dresser drawer that I keep games in and I like having a collection in there.
you cannot have a game night with your wife if you have a disc and playing on 2 different consoles at the same time, 1 digital game, shared license. 2 games for the price of one
I bought a used disc game of "Jedi Fallen Order" for $15 Canadian .
The Digital version is $58.

@@Crashed131963I recently got RE2 and 3 remake bundle for 80% off digitally compared to srp RE2 only physical copy...so yeah your argument is moot xD
How Many Watts Does A PS5 Use?
The official power rating of a PlayStation 5 Disc Edition console is 350 watts, while the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition has a power rating of 340 watts. Normally the console will draw a lot less than this - expect to use around 200 watts while gaming.
????????
All the PlayStation games are compatible ps4 and ps2 and 3 games can be played on it it’s wild
Thanks for this! After not beeing able to use my card on e shop anymore I’m gonna go from Nintendo to PlayStation because I’m so pissed of that this problem can’t be solved on Nintendo.
I bought the disc version
I love the digital only but if a friend comes over with a game ill need to get a disk drive version
Fortunately I don’t have friends
@@Collect2Disconnect real
The discs in my opinion are better because you can do both but in digital you have to use digital
i like both editions so i just bought the digital for my self and the disc version for my friend personal i think the digital is better cuz it's good looking
Yo buy me one 😭😭
Sony is smart had thousands of people going crazy yet had this drive in development
I ended up going for the digital one since i can spare 80 euro and spend that money a game i think digital is dev the better option if your an avg gamer like me😊
If we buy disk version, do we need to use the disc all time when we play? Does this way use ssd speed to its potential?
Yes u do
The majority of the gaming community is Digital anyways. If you are still using a disk in 2023 i have no clue what you are even doing.
You don't need a fucking clue about people you don't even know
Digital version you are married to ps plus
I just got a ps5 disc version bc they told me it uses less memory because u just have to download the updates and not the game
You can buy cheap used games with disc
Why’s he acting like the disc version only plays discs 😂
😂
