Thanks CeeCee! Heidi wrote a book for Leisure Arts on how to make water bottle bracelets and she hasn't stopped since! As you can imagine, there are hundreds of ways you can use water bottles in your crafting!
Thanks everyone! and Lyman...so glad you found us.
Heidi and Tiffany, I feel like I've known you both for 20+ years. I've enjoyed your shows, and I certainly find your mom to be an inspiration. Best wishes~
I agree - those ear rings look fabulous on you! I love that they are so light. And isn't that Aleene's glue sensational? Love it - love this idea - thank you!!!

This is a great and Eco friendly idea... I love drinking water and love making earrings... My question Is can I use old cloths for this if yes I would be happy to make some
Yes, we just love all things Aleene! Thank you!
What a great way to use up fabric scraps as well. Thanks for sharing!
Yes! You can use paper instead of fabric for this project. Double sided scrapbook paper would be great because them you would have a print on both the front and the back of the earrings.
Loved this video...just want to know if the neclace and the earrings scratch your skin? If so what would you use to protect that?
We're happy you enjoyed it!

Thank you! We love this project by EcoHeidi!
wow this is such a great idea! you could even take it to another with the eco friendly big time by making some recycled magazine beads, and using fabric from piece of clothing you no longer use... (I know what I'm doing tomorrow. maybe I will post a tutorial for you ladies to check out after I do some experimenting, or at least link a picture so y'all can see the finished project) thank you for such a easy to follow tutorial!
very pretty
The water bottle pieces have a slight curve so the fabric work ideal on this. If you don't mind wrinkles or cutting into your paper to help ease it into the curve then you can use paper. The thinner the paper the better. Whenever we decoupage with inkjet printed paper, we first seal it with Aleene's Spray Sealer. You can certainly test with the Aleene's Decoupage medium but since it is so wet, you will probably find that your inks do run.
Awesome video! Can this technique be done with paper? If so, how do you seal it off so ink doesn't run? Can I use the same adhesive since it is less toxic than others?
Hi Hedi and Steph I made those earrings out of plastic bottle they are so awesome except being a native american I put front on them if you ask me they are beautiful ty keep them coming lol I used to watch on TNT Aleenes creative show sure miss it I taped every time you all came on but lost them on my moving but anyways glad to see your beautiful smiles
Thanks!! I was just asked to make big fabric earrings definitely inspired!
Loved it! I would have used the craft knife to cut the circle from the template to save a couple of steps... These are gorgeous!
The Aleene's glues ar available for purchase online. Thank you!

I can see this working for all sorts of accessories, thanks for sharing! :D
Really depends on if you want a slight sheen when the Decoupage dries. Either one will work for this project. [Tiffany]

You should be able to use old cloth on this. Thank you for the lovely comment.
I absolutely love this idea. Thank you

This so cool, I am going to try this. I am going to do the necklace also. Thanks
Very cool! Thank you for posting! 🌹
Nice, thanks for sharing. There are a lot of plastic bottles to use.
You can use a brush...just be sure to clean between each use and dry off thoroughly before applying glue ( you don't want any additional water in the glue). Or you can also use your finger.
Thank you! We'd love to see photos!
Wel it was so easy ecofriendly n really kool ..thnkx for idea..
To make this more eco-friendly, you can use cooking oil or olive oil to remove the sticky bottle residue instead of chemical cleaners.
I LOVE this idea, ladies!
Thank you! We think it's SO cool!
Thank you again, Sharrie!

The cable networks pulled the plug on all craft shows about 10 years ago and it wasn't until recently that TLC put Craft Wars on air. My sister Heidi and I shifted to the on-line format via Livestream and TH-cam. Stop by on Mondays at noon Eastern and chat with us at the Cool2Craft website. [Tiffany]
Hello Heidi and Tiffany, Love the earrings. is the Fabric Fusion toxic? does it have formaldehyde in it? or can you recommend a non-toxic permanent craft glue. Have a good day.
Hello tess kee The Aleene's Fabric Fusion Glue is a nontoxic urethane adhesive. It is clear and water-based for a permanent fabric bond.
Awesome, i wanna learn more ,i love it.
Super cute! I'm notoriously poor at using scissors. I think I'll just get a circle die. Great idea. Thanks so much!
I love the earrings, but shouldn't the backs be finished with fabric also?
you can use any cloth!
WOW THAT IS SOO CREATIVE!!! We're did u come up ith that, that's amazing cool2craft :D
@katrindox Thank you so much!
I lots of scraps of paper I wonder if it would work the same
Will this work on fabric made from polyester?
thank so much but it 'll hard to find exactly fabric glue in my country. much to try. nice job
have you tried different shapes
We love Aleene's glues!
Marou- to me, all the words that relate Eco.Eco friendly, reuse, recycle, upcycle etc. are Eco. If I use things from my recycle bin and make them into something that reuses any of those items..to me it's a part of being Eco . If I can make only a small difference in the world to show others how to recycle and save any thing from going into the landfill, and then make it into something pretty and useful, I feel good about myself.
