I have a question for you, so my FC is smoking like this and I'm not sure what it is. How did you fix the smoking problem? OMP stuck open? Oil seal gave out?
I'd say run a little less premix mayne half or 3/4 of an oz per gallon. That smoke is extremely blue, and if your burning TOO much oil you can cause a lot of carbon build up.
I autocrossed it multiple times in the past and it did pretty well, but I probably won't do to much else with it for now, I'm just happy the darn thing runs again!
If the smoke doesn't clear out one of your oil seals are gone in the one of the rotors, if the smoke clears out start it everyday and if it smokes like that every start rebuild time
I had put a lot of oil in the rotor housings to unstick the motor and lubricate the seals before starting so it was super smoky, but every start since has been normal now.
@@monotnoustreecustoms5420 you have to treat it like a rotary u gotta rev it out to clear carbon out you can't go from high rpms to low rpm all the time and I gotta premix a rotary becomes unreliable when I drive em like a piston
@@juanp2138 yes but it litterlay blows smoke out , and i redlined it EVERY DAY , i treated her well, checked her oil daily, checked the coolant daily, NEVER overheated the engine . Pre-mixed i ox per gallon, deletd the omp , and emssions so it lasted. Im kindap issed , if this is what rotarys are like i see why people hate them
Congratulations buddy. A small moment for all 7 owners
That's for sure! Thanks for the view!
If you store that car again put some 2 stroke oil in the soark plug holes also run some pre mix oil in gas tank
For sure, hopefully it wont have to sit a lot time again though!
Great job! ... remember to wear your seatbelt!
The excitement got the best of me lol, the next video out on the main roads are belted up!
The sunflower seeds were unexpected! 🌻
Out here planting my sunflower crops!
Best way to know of you need rebuild is compression test also try to run some sea foam carbon build up is a killer for those apex seals
I would really like to buy one of the cool electronic rotary compression testers.
The gsl se are gems
It was an awesome car! Thanks for the view!

Might be time for rebuild check the coolent to see if you got oil on it too
Coolant level was still nice and full luckily and oil just got changed today and was still decent looking
That’s way too much smoke on start up. How’s the oil consumption?
It had A LOT of oil added into the rotor housing to help lubricate it from sitting.
Man, you’re an awesome guy! 👍🏾👍🏾💪💪
Still plan on getting that autocross capable? Or will it just be a fun car for weekends?

I think u have a coolant leak and it is hitting the rotor housing. That happens when one of the plates is cracked.
That smoke was from the oil in the rotor housings from trying to get the motor freed up and spinning again, Thanks for the view!
Throw a compression test in there
She currently feels super strong.
@@TylerPotter happy for you man keep him running it's a gem

i just had my fucking engine rebuilt and it did that shit no teven 3000 miles later

Yes rotary engines act like 2 stroke they smoke from the exhaust every seen or riding a 2 stroke they smoke from the exhaust,
3 cats and a dog
