Thanks for the good review. The new technical paints are pretty cool. Wonder what the new Artificer Tint Set of paints will be, that have been hinted at being released come november. Kudos to GW. They really are churning out new products.
I know this is an old video, but maybe someone can answer a few questions: 1. How heavy is an application of the thicker colours? I'm playing tyranids, and if they're heavy enough to make hormagaunts stable, that would be amazing. 2. Can you apply washes over them, to give them a purplish sheen for example (like for the snow or earth ones)?
you could glue magnets or small weights underneath the bases, that will not only get you weighted Gaunts but also an easier way to transport them later :)
For some reason I relay like that I found this channel, when its subscriber count is so low. Its like a little treasure that only I know the location and value of. well, only me and 3340 other people.
I Know you havent uploaded in Ages, and I think I've seen some of you Terrain in Scorcerer Daves Videos. It Brakes my Heart to think that you might have sold it off along with whatever other Stuff. But Know this: Dis Video is worth Gold! Thank You! ;D
I want to try some of these textured paints on my 1/6 scale Vietnam Wolverines I'm working on. I want to put it on the boots as mud. I want it to look wet though. Do you think a gloss varnish on top would accomplish this?
@@Joe_Friday Yes, a gloss varnish should definately work! Do yourself a favour though, and test it on some random bit if plastic, before you try it on the actual Models. Just in case. ;D
Can I ask, what colour would you base an Orange space marine? Yes Orange and I mean basketball/tiger orange with black as the main secondary colour. some veterans have blue helmets and hq have red cloaks. I was thinking either a Martian red or the greyblue one. But i am unsure, perhaps even they are not very good ideas.
@@sevatorion7975 Thanks, i thought the idea was to contrast the model, that way it "pops" more... blue marine on green base, black marine on a bone colour base, that sort of thing. I'm a colour blind noob, so forgive my ignorance.
well look in to it me never paint my bases think my dirt sand grit and grass caleton is exsenive and get lot of gound wokk out it but snow and ice and lava but look at it and your new visa ;;;;]]]]
interested in the snow. I'll be watching this after work later. cheers
Cheers mate, btw we very much enjoyed your interview with Winters!
Fantastic showcase of citidel techicals. I was looking this video. Some just show me how these look on bases! Bam, insert your video.

Haha, thanks mate! We've only been going since January so we're quite new, but hopefully we'll get more widely known in time!
So technical gives the cracks and texture gives the grainier like effect

Perhaps a white? The idea is to choose a colour that doesn't contrast with the model

@@Daisyandtheo Generally anything that makes it stand out is what I recommend.
Thanks! Helped a lot!
