Hey Tiff, been following you for about a year now. Just wanted to say thank you for making awesome videos. I just got my first SWE job! I start in September!
Best way to get started is to build projects and talk about the projects with other programmers and recruiters. Someone will notice your efforts if you do it long enough.
it varies greatly! I would checkout levels.fyi they have salary breakdowns. It isnt for freelancers though as that varies based on your work, clients, skills etc...
I like your name I remember in the 90's coding fax/ answering machine software for a 4 line ISA board, anyway of course we would store the files in TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) the industry standard at the time.
:O I listen to uplifting emotional trance. When I am working on my coding homework or a project I listen to Future Garage work music. The one with the robot looking at the hologram is my favorite!
Hi Tiff. I’m Mbali from South Africa, I love watching your channel. I’m currently in my last year studying software development. I’ve been applying for internships and jobs. I’ve been told my resume looks great and cover letter is clear, I’ve created so many profile pages(eg. LinkedIn, Indeed etc.) yet I’ve been getting declined. Would you advise I finish school before applying or do you have any tips to share to help me secure a job?
What was your Python project that you put in a portfoilio (or you would put in a portfolio)? I would like to make some backend project because I have to show something, but don't know what.
Superb i am thinking about starting online entrepreneur journey as construction design engineer so what advice would you give to keep in mind to be successful at it - like any book recommendations or practical tips to get those initial clients for projects without wasting time..
That is great to hear! I think networking is key - even joining online groups through discord or slack that focus on your area. Also, goes without saying, having a strong portfolio!
Hi, I am not graduated and my major is not the tech field. I recently land a tech job in small company (with not much focus on tech) and been working there for about 2 months now. To me its blessing to get a tech job with my background but I feel like I am learning nothing and all the works are very basic but the project I currently working in is very horribly coded that it stress me out. Also the working hour is so tight I couldn't learn anything since I work here. I feel like I could do much more so I want to quit this job start another job hunt. But it really really hard to get tech job with my background and also without experience. Right now I am really struggling to decide to keep working at this dead end job or risk it for improvement. Sorry if my comment is too long to read and hard to understand but I hope you would give me some advice. thanks
Hi, I am from a Mechanical Engineering background and looking for a career change I want to enter into the Data Analytics field so I wanted to ask if I should learn SAS or start with SQL? And if SAS what future career growth?
Anyone who is new to Tech or switching from Non tech to Tech (like me), freelancing full-time is not the thing to do. If any so called Freelancing or Tech "Guru" preached you that, its a truckload of ga***ge....unless you are building something of your own.
If I didn't answer your question, leave it in the comments, and I will make sure to respond!

Hi Tiff……how much can you make from working outside of the US as a freelancer and how would you go about it?
it varies greatly! I would checkout levels.fyi they have salary breakdowns. It isnt for freelancers though as that varies based on your work, clients, skills etc...

Consider looking into luke barousse's channel. It has more to do with data analytics than software.
@@Bigoldgrizzly1337 I will definitely look into it. Thank you.
TMNT! Yeah 🐢
You know it!
making something for someone who wanna become iOS dev
There is so many great resources to learn from. I would suggest even searching tutorials on youtube or udemy!!
between sql and nosql which is more in demand now
Both are!! It’s really what you prefer. You can always learn one and then the other
Both always both couple years and then just freelance from beach 🙃
