Andy, this was extremely helpful. I’ve watched probably 6 or 7 vids on this topic and never really could pull it off and make it sound “musical “. The key for me was very early in the lesson when you said something about how a toddler would just slap the strings and it would sound just right. For whatever reason, that image made it “click “ for me. After just a few minutes I improved my snare sound bunches! Thank you.
This is awesome! Working on fingerpicking, but also want to add this strum/drum into the mix! We’re huge Ed Sheeran fans, he uses this technique a lot. So thanks Andy for another awesome tutorial to help us grow! 💯🎶🎸

Having never played drums, I have no idea what the difference between a kick and a snare is.
Kick is the base snare is the high pitch
Google it!
