Promising start, disappointing end. Why am I not surprised? And in all honesty, I've never ever seen a more undisciplined team in my entire life. I'm tired. I'm so tired. My heart breaks for this club.
Yah, I thought that we would see a huge boost in performance now that the huge new Sounders Soccer Annex has been opened. It's been the opposite. I don't think he did well with ATL, but I would even be up for welcoming Gonzo Pineda back.. But, we deserve even better than him, I think we should look for a proven Dutch or German coach (I think the style of play in those two European leagues is most similar to MLS)
@@wildebt we 100% need a ton of new players as well, but I appreciate your thoughts on the coaching situation. Most people just blindly blurt out that Pineda is the best coach ever and say Schmetz out without actually offering what we might do instead of him
The Seattle Sounders' performance in the 2023 season showed a challenging period for the team, with fluctuating match ratings and a notable exit in the U.S. Open Cup's round of 32. Despite these hurdles, the team's history of resilience and adaptability suggests a potential for recovery and improvement. The introduction of young players into the lineup is a common strategy in sports, aiming to build a future core team, even though it may come with growing pains. Coach Brian Schmetzer's approach, focusing on player relationships and tactical flexibility, has been a hallmark of his tenure. While the shift to exclusive streaming on the Apple Network has changed how fans access games, and many are not happy with it, it reflects a broader trend in sports broadcasting. The journey ahead for Schmetzer and the Sounders is a reminder of the ever-present stakes in the world of sports, where every game is an opportunity to redefine the narrative. As for or subscription, If it were not for Lionel Messi joining Inter Miami, and the games they play we would have cancelled our subscription to Apple’s MLS Season Pass.
It's time to part way's with Schmetzer. The talent is there but the discipline isn't and that starts with the coach. It seems like he's lost this team.
I haven't seen every game this season but Nouhou has been hungry, he's been good on his defense and can always go back to defense if necessary but can't they move him to midfield? Is he that bad of help to get a goal?
It's not about KC player falling down. Baker-Whiting was beat, and he grabbed the attacking player to compensate being beaten. Maybe if the challenge took place in the middle of the field it would only be a foul but even then I'd think that would be lucky of the defender to not take yellow.

frei is old and washed up time for a new keeper next year as well as a coach
If I say that people would think I have a brain tactics of mouse piss
Schmetzer needs to go now!!!
sooooo were cooked
Ugh… being a us soccer fan is already enough punishment but now the sounders too! Ugh
Frei gotta retire 🔥

The "talent" is washed up
That was a really stupid foul to earn the red card. I agree, not disciplined enough coaching
stings.
Worse season I have ever witnessed from our sounders… would be a mistake to even try and play against Miami. I would not watch that beat down.
Worst season in club history so this statement pretty much applies to all Sounders fans.
17 matches played. 4 wins. 6 draws. Shambolic.

how was that a second yellow? such a flop
Bro it's a clear yellow. Shit foul to commit already on one yellow too.

Winger obviously knows what he’s doing trying to get RBW sent off (more power to him) but it’s clearly a pull & clearly a 2nd yellow
We're so fucking awful 😖
