Anyone wondering why the first goal was offsides, the highlight cuts off when Carrasquilla was offsides in the buildup at 40:50

I was at this game, idk why the AR didnt raise the flag before the goal since thats when the " offside " was commited. The fans were celebrating and the players were going back to their formations, and that's when the ref wants to call it offside ? At least it was a draw and not a loss , Dale Dynamo 🤘✊️
That's what the AR is supposed to do if the play is close. They're taught to keep their flag down until the play is over (the goal has been scored, in this case) and then raise the flag. That way, if the AR is wrong, they don't effect the outcome of the play.
"I was at the game" Oh, so you were shown fewer replays than everyone else? You also had no commentary? If you were at home you would've known that the offsides was from earlier in the sequence.

It have to have been called for the buildup prior to the goal is my guess but the highlight starts before the offside happens is my guess

Carrasquilla was offside in the build up.
For anyone confused of the offside, I was at the game and thought Smith was offside, but he wasn’t. When I rechecked the game, I saw that it was actually Carrasquilla that was very clearly offside in the build up of the goal. Hope this helps!
If so, then the officials allowed the play to continue way too long before enforcing it.
I hate VAR. That leads to ARs not raising their flag at the time of an offense.
I need to rewatch this part in the app because yeah the play has gone on for quite a bit in these highlights

These replacement refs are horrible. No way in hell was Smith’s goal offside.

As soon as the offside took away the first goal, after I watched 3 replays of an offside goal that was clearly onside, and then a 1 sec clip showing the ref holding up his arm but no replays or images of the offside, I knew this was a bad video and I stopped watching to make this comment, thumbs down, also, was that a kid commentary? Garbage post...
