    Hi Jamie nice natural looking video which I enjoyed. Because i mostly fish natural venues I use even lighter gear often 0.008 hooklengths and very small hooks to to get a bite! Combined with an IM8 bomb rod I can get bonus fish out easily, and if I’m on a lot of fish will happily step up the gear. I have found sticky mag in a tiny wire feeder works well sometimes. I must try just leam in a tiny feeder to see if that will induce more bites! Regards Bill

    Jamie. We see videos on clipping up, but few explain it really well. Could you do a little video of exactly why you move the rod back over your head. Do you let the feeder settle on a tight, or slack line, and when you bring the rod forward, does that allow you a few turns on the reel spool? Thanks good stuff as always. Rich.

    I totally agree that there are some days the fish don’t want ground bait not just in winter anytime of the year . Hemp is and always in my opinion one of the best feeding baits all year round . It also doesn’t over feed or kill a swim like ground bait can , but i am talking more from natural venue perspective rather than commercial. 👍🏻🎣

    • @CatchFishingChannel
      @CatchFishingChannel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh yeah Hemp is a great bait isn't it! Do you use it in the feeder Mark?

    • @markrichmond1468
      @markrichmond1468 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      CATCH Fishing Channel Yes mate ever since I was a kid , I’ve never gone fishing without it . Ya can’t beat hemp and caster in a kamasan block end feeder , on ya local river . Also where ground bait is concerned , I have always added hemp to it . Not in huge amounts just as an option through the feeder . Honestly never gone fishing without it on float or feeder . 👍🏻 so easy to prepare and you can fridge it or freeze it .

    I always enjoy your videos, Jamie, thank you. Can I be a literacy arse, though...?! Water clarity can be high, low or whatever, but not 'clear', clarity already refers to the degree of opaqueness, or whatever, in the water. Apologies for being up my bum, but this grates. (In the same way folk talk about the temperature being hot or cold etc. It's not, temperature is a measure, not a description; it can be high or low etc, but not hot or cold. Right, I'll try to get back to pretending I'm a normal person...).

    Being a little older, I still can't get imperial measurements out of my head. So may sets of instruction come fully loaded with the dreaded metric instead. Now we are finally kissing european interference, can we start to have feet and inches back, just for those of us that helped to design stone henge please. other wise, this is another very informative video. Thank you.

    Virtually all TH-cam video's on feeder fishing (and other techniques), appear to be based on commercials, where the main quarry is either carp or F1's. This combination of obsession with carp and the endless promotion of commercial fisheries ill serves angling in general and those of us who prefer non-commercial fisheries and everything else but carp. This monoculture is one of the worst things to happen to angling in my 60 years of fishing. A more balanced approach featuring non-commercial stillwaters would be most welcome.
