Who can deny that the pleasure derived from fishing a scenic piece of river is the best therapy for relieving the stresses and strains of modern day living. Catching wild fish in their natural habitat is nothing short of an awesome experience that commercial fisheries will never be able to emulate. Well done, Joe.
What a treat, there is nothing better than float caught roach, add some ready brek to the bread, not too much as they become addicted to it, but it binds the bread a bit.
This brings back memories, used to fish like this on the Kentish Stour at Grove ferry in the 1970`s great one Joe, nice watching these, take care & enjoy the time you have on the bank, it soon passes by when you have youngsters.
What could be better, beautiful countryside, solitude if you want it and nature all around .If you keep your eyes open it’s surprising what you’ll see. Catching some nice fish is just part of the experience.
Just off to my local Dorset Stour . I had a 2lb 14oz Roach last week off the Avon. I'm lucky living minutes away from both of these rivers. Keep these trips coming just brilliant stuff. No pole in site
Had 4 lovely Grayling yesterday. Broke off a nice chub. Only two of us on the whole stretch. He found the chub. Trotting maggot. Best chub 6lb 12oz. The late Great Terry Lampard 7 times Drenban Cup Winner used to fish there.
