I think listening to your entertaining reaction there is an important information you dont seem to be aware of. San Remo is not actually a music competition to determine who will go to perform to eurovision. In other words, The price for winning San Remo is not to go to Eurovision, the price of winning San Remo is simply to be the winner of "San Remo". Ballads is part of italian musical tradition, and they will not bend to the tastes of Eurovision. As i said Eurovision is not the price, but it's more like a bonus for the winner. The winner has the right to decide whether to participate at Eurovision or not. They don't have to if they dont want. If the winner decides not to participate then it will go to second place etc.
I think what happened in the past few years with the internet allowing for people all over the world to watch San Remo, is that people falsely believe San Remo is a competion to determine who will go to Eurovision. It's not. If I'm not mistaken, San Remo was the inspiration for eventually Eurovision to kickstart. Enjoying your reactions!
Thank you for pointing it out, we appreciate it! We have gotten to know the rules of your selection and love that it´s optional for the winner to participate! So happy you have chosen to do it that way, and being before Eurovision (inspired it and all!), it makes a lot of sense. The reason why we talk about the participants chance in Eurovision is because the winner of San Remo historically (if we are not mistaken) choose to represent Italy in the competition, but it´s important to be pointed out that that does not happen automatically, so thank you again for enlightening people and us

El único error de los chicos de IL VOLO es participar en éste concurso, tienen demasiada clase y calidad para éste concurso, por otra parte puede no gustarle por supuesto pero decir que es aburrido es una falta de respeto a la clase y a la calidad que ellos tienen,lo siento pero es mi opinión
If you say that Sanremo is not good enough for them, I know is an opinion, but it means that you really don't know what real Italian music, even you don't understand how polished is the Festival of Sanremo. The level of Italian music can be 10x over them. Remember that they sing a lot of covers which came out from Sanremo, honey

Hai ragione loro devono partecipare come ospiti a Sanremo hanno troppa gente tra i giornalisti che non li sopportano.
As Italian I had same Hanna vibes. I don't like italian ballads , It's a good song much better than at least 20 songs this year but at the same time It's not my cup of tea : Annalisa , Angelina , Irama , Dargen D'Amico , Mahmood , Santi Francesi , Clara and Emma have the best songs so far this Year.
They won Sanremo in 2015, placed third in Eurovision, but first in the public's vote. They won't win Sanremo this year. They have exceptionally good voices, but I agree with Hanna, I don't like their song. I do enjoy their singing, though, it's beautiful and you have to appreciate that.
There nothing wrong with the song, the song is beautiful is just the wrong genre for sanremo, is not the best song is the most catchy. I know Il volo is more popular in the rest of the world than in their own country so they are not even being taken seriously, in addition to competing against 29 other songs they are also competing with themselves with Grande Amore everyone there is like yes the song is good but not as good as grande amore, is not the song is the period in time in 2015 people still enjoyed a love song nowadays they don’t they think that a love song is cringy . 🤦🏻♀️

Definitely not the type of genre for this type of contest, classical music is not for everyone , it has never been, people either hate it or cry with it you obviously have both reactions here. Even though in Eurovision the got first place on tele vote the ended up getting 3rd place in 2015 with another “cringe “ song Grande Amore , that seems to be the new word of this generation everything is “cringy” this is a time were sex triumph over love, where a catchy rhythm and meaningless lyrics accompanied by autotune prevails . As a consequence this generation doesn’t appreciate real talent, you just have to be trending and viral ! Tik Tok performers 😂😂😂😂😂
