New Shaft Line Found! But not much gold to be had. Just being honest 🤷

  • Loaming new country results in a new reef line being found, it was an excellent day exploring and taking samples. Don't expect a bucket of gold, because I'll tell you now the results weren't anything to rave about. Enjoy the journey anyway 😁

I like your magic tools like the rope (fits the shaft exactly on both ends) or your invisible gloves.

I had to google 'loaming'. Thought it was a typo ;-) Nice shot of our vineyard at the end.

Thanks Rick! Glad you could pick up some new vocab in the process. That's a very common word mentioned in our local gold bible. I'm learning heaps of new words on here lately. @Jethro taught me the word *Costean* recently. Thats a very relevant one too 👏

Looked like a hell of a lot of effort climbing out 😅. I get why you do it though. Looks like a whack load of fun!

It really is without ascenders 🤣. But that's what makes it so much more fun. Shame there wasn't anything interesting in the rock. But that typical. I've got a couple more close by to this one to check out yet too!

Hard to believe that someone dug that mine.

Great video, Jo watched this one with me, she was getting claustrophobic about 2m in. She was worried I'd want to get down there with you 😂 but she doesn't realise that I know already I'd never be able to fit for 1 and get myself back out for 2.
We both think you're a bloody legend though. 👌

Itll take me 3 gos to watch this one, but I see Ive got an honourable mention 😄. Mate you are a legend on those ropes. Ive got plenty of shafts over this side of the hill you can come and sample for me😉

You bet Jethro, slowly pricing myself out of the private work game. So I'll be coming over to give you a hand in the next 12 months for sure. Cant bloody wait!

@@TheGoldmansChannel Good. If it would just stop raining long enough for me to do some on ground research.instead of online reasearch. I fear the water table will have recovered to pre drought levels though.

It certainly has Jethro, we will need to be extra cautious of soaked ground above our heads now. I took 100kg out of an adit yesterday, and it was all very very soft. Have noticed quite a bit more rock come down from the ceiling of our top shafts too. None of ours are flooded though, which is good.

    Wosson mate
    really enjoy watching your videos
Very good insight into small scale hard rock mining/prospecting and sampling,
I Think the sample close ups are great
Really interesting to see the formations of minerals how the gold is distributed though a sample, also what you look for when you see a vein or ore body and where you choose your sample.
    I live in Cornwall
comparing your ores and vein material to what I see in our old mines and dumps is Very similar material!
    Think I shouldn’t start sampling ⛏
    Keep up the great content
    Cheers for the inspiration

Hi Did you make the stone crusher yourself? Do you have a drawing of it?
    Have a nice day

Originally built by somebody else, but heavily modified by myself. The is some better footage of the crusher internals in a previous video I did on here somewhere if that helps mate. Cheers!

It's a recurring event with hard rock Mick, the latest video I have been working on turned out to be a complete bust too. Cut a walking track into a steep section of the property here with the machete to gain access to a mine we hadn't tested yet. I lugged out 128kg of product and ran it through the plant. Less than a gram! 😭😭😭. Will go find some better rock today to show off the latest plant modifications I've made. Fingers crossed

Is that a plastic pan you put the acid in?? And how long for?

    • @TheGoldmansChannel
      @TheGoldmansChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

Yes plastic. Don't do that one in a metal pan hehe. Time and amount of acid varies Gavin, depends on how much material there is to deal with and also depends on the type of mineral I'm trying to attack. For the most part, the reaction is over in 10 minutes. Once the reaction stalls, I usually add a dribble more HNO3 to ensure the reaction is complete and hasn't just used up the acid I put in to begin with.
