Thank you so much I will definitely be able to finally learn how to T stop next time I'll be practicing, all tutorials I've found so far would only show you briefly the movement, not the exercices on how to master it!
Thank you!!!! I’m so excited for you to get back out skating to practice!!!! This really means a lot to hear, I definitely spent alot of time thinking about how to help 🙏🩵🤙🥹
Been watching your videos, and they’re great. So good I’ve just bought a pair of inline skates, helmet and pads to have a go. Never done it before, but it looks good fun. Wish me luck (I’m 55!!)
Thanks! Your videos are sooo helpful. I've started in August and thanks to your videos and other I'm progressing every week! Some goals I have for this year (maybe can inspire you for future videos ahah): - Learning Eagle - Being finally able to skate on one foot (sooo hard, whyyyy) - on 2 toes - on 1 toe -crossover backward - not being scared to jump - turn with speed (jump into turn and turning with flow) - spin
you are a wonderful wonderful teacher By watching your clips I learned how to parallel turn in a day actually in few minutes. I will keep watching your TH-cam because I love your teachings it is just best suited for me.
I mastered it, thank you. I've exactly done what you've shown in the video. I first practiced the 1 foot glide, then I started putting a foot perpendicular to the front foot. It was hard at first, but practiced for more than 2 hours and nailed it. I used to use heel brake, but I've now made a decision not to use it anymore. If I should thank anyone for this achievement of mine, it's you. Thank you coach Polly. I owe you big. Do visit 'the bentway' or 'Barbara Ann Scott' skating arena if you ever visit Toronto, you've many fans(students, I can say) there.
Omg this is so good!!! I’m def gonna use this next time I talk about t stops!!! It makes sense because by bending your driving your weight into your front foot and lowering your center of gravity for more control. Thanks for sharing this!!! Totally added to my bag of tricks 🙏💯🎉🤙☺️
Hi Polly! Love your videos ❤ By any chance could you explain how to not fall on your back? Or like what posture should one have to avoid it? I was doing simple lemons (first time), fell and whacked my elbow pretty bad, thought I had broken it LOL I’m now scared to pick up the skates again ‘cause it was sooo painful 🫠
Be always sure to bend knees and if you feel like you are falling try to catch your knees. with inlines it's better to be always lean a bit forward. More you bend your knees better will be your balance especially when you'll start to turn, to crossover or jump. Also learn to fall, I know it sounds pretty awkward, but learning how to fall on your side is the best way to not be scared anymore and to be sage ;)
@@PollySkates yes, it’s harder but they are shorter and seems like it’s requires getting even lower just to touch the ground with them. I’m 6ft so it’s been a mission to find someone that can show this being done on this wheel height. I’m not giving up, just gotta find the balance and right height is all.
@@PollySkatesactually the first time I attempted a T stop was in the car park, after say 20 years of no inline skating and I fell right on my bum 😢 I’m really struggling to balance on one foot, would appreciate if you can give any advice for this!

궁금한게있어요~^^::!
브레이크잡을때..발을들고 땅에놓는게아니고.가볍게..뒤로빼는게맞나요?.
가볍게끌리듯이~ 양발로.브레이크잡는게맞는거죠?
Loved the video, I remember I couldn't Tstop untill someone pointed me out I needed to bend my lead leg a lil more..

Does T-Stop needs to be performed standing up? I’ve seen people drag one foot while bending lower with the other knee. Or is this more of a Drag Stop?
Behold DOG, the world's first e-skate attachment for blades. The controller is perfectly disguised as a common leash.
I know I am late but you are super good at blading!
(Btw I commented earlier❤)
Thank you so much!

your Do Is So CuTe❤❤❤
Ty!!! 🩵🩵☺️
How do you do it on aggressive inline skates? The wheels are a lot smaller. I have a pair of grey Them 909s
It’s the same way on aggressive! I think it’s easier in aggressive because the wheel hardness is usually higher on those

Best t-stop tutorial I’ve seen. You’re the best coach Polly!🛼😁
Omg it work, I've been doing a T stop and it don't work so this day i've been doing a Half spin Tysm
Happy to help🥹❤️
👍
😘
Can you do a T stop without knowing how to balance on one foot? 😅
Yes! But you’ll probably spin out because you want your weight and total control in your front foot

I have roller blades now it's all of you ty u
I am 7 years old and i love roller blading but i still can’t do a T stop😢😢😢
It’s hard! Keep practicing friend
Thanks for posting a long detailed video, I know what I'm doing wrong now. Coach Polly, you 🪨!
So happy to help! 🥹🙏🤙🎉🎉

Bad cameraman, the skates are down there not up here
Having a dog with us during tstop training is not recommended 😂
😂 he wanted to skate with us not sit and watch. Don’t worry tho he got in lots of miles to run after this
