Always required PWHT after RT , I already explained in answer why need . However PWHT after RT its must required for before RT its totally client requirement.. For safe side sometimes we do both Before and After RT.
@@WeldingNDTInspection sir I am confused, RT is a none destructive testing, what is the significance of doing PWHT after RT, doing NDT after heat treatment makes sense, it's my humble doubt .please explain!
@@fredrickjose1976 good Question..see my answer.. Firstly RT after PWHT is not mentioned in ant code..its totaly depends on project specification, client requirements. PWHT will relieve residual stress and can open up flaws which are otherwise closed by the residual stresses, and that is the reason why NDT for acceptance purposes is performed after PWHT.

Lamination in weld means lack of fusion, in both weld and plate lamination can be seen
