I bet you gained a lot of time on the last hairpin. Nice driving, but I have a little comment to make on your throtthle application at the turn that's just before the long straight that leads to the hairpin, couldn't you go full throttle on that corner (you release the throttle at 3:40 exactly)? I guess you could because the car did not seem to be "pushed" outside the track, if you know what I mean
+O.B Hi! Thanks for the comment :) Yeah my line through the last corner is quite unusual. During the race there, I was always top 2 out of the entire field of drivers in the last sector partially because of that It allows you to brake later, and get on the throttle harder and earlier than the usual hairpin line. The reason it works is because the radius of this particular hairpin is ridiculously tight. As for the 2nd to last corner, the reason I release the throttle a bit earlier (at 3:40) is because the left hander there is a transitional corner in which the main focus is to get the car placed for a perfect exit out of the corner and onto the super long straight. There is more time to be gained throughout the entire straight by somewhat sacrificing this corner and making sure you get a good exit than by pushing super hard in the corner and sacrificing the exit. By choosing the later solution, you'll be quicker through the corner itself, but you'll lose precious speed on the straight- and that will cost you a lot more in terms of overall time lost. Hope I explained well!
Hey! Thanks :) The cam was mounted using a sticky curved pad that was placed about 2-3cm above the top of the visor when closed. Basically, as close to the visor as possible but far enough to allow for the visor to be opened a bit for convenience... Hope that answers your question! Cheers.
+Mac Lambert Either FF or FBMW are feeder series to Formula Renault 2L. Nowadays you have F4 which is the route I took and the most common feeder series. Some jump straight into Formula Renault 2L from karting, as Max Verstappen did when he went from karting to F3! hehe
MyMIXmedia glad it looks that way! It feels even faster when you’re sitting in the car!! Haha ... but I can assure you it’s not sped up. If you time a lap and compare it with times you find online for this car on this circuit, you’ll see it’s not sped up ;-)

I DONT KNEW THIS CIRCUIT, I LIKED
Carlos Rodrigues I didn't know it was by Hermann tilke as well, rare good circuit from him
how fast did you go on the straights?
Around 235 km/h, and using low downforce setup.
thats pretty fast for a 2 liter
+danmark312 indeed, yes. It's almost the max attainable top speed (240).
How does one get involved in something like this, formula BMW or formula Ford?

Ok, cool. Thanks for the quick reply.
+Alexandre Jouannem Out of curiosity, is one ever considered too old to start?
+Mac Lambert just pay
+Mac Lambert over the age of 10, u have to start when ur very young
I can do that. In iracing lol
And people say F1 2017 car sounds crap..
Looks sped up. Cos it looks way to fast to be real.
