I'm in love with the aesthetics, graphics, animation and sound of this game. But GODDAMNIT that bullet hell... there's no way in hell I could beat it without dying every two seconds.

I seriously have respect, I don't know how they do it to be able to finish a game like this where the screen is full of projectiles, I always wanted to learn but I doubt I have such perfect reflexes hours and hours of practice for sure
Matey it isn't all that hard. There are easier bullet hells out there if you were to start somewhere else-and also continues. You can enjoy bullet hells being bad at them-well some of them.

Searched on youtube for it and I remembered that album cover art. Oh yea, I haven't listened to it for years! I think I've found it on our Castlevania forum and it was stataed in some post that this sounds like "Symphony of the night music alike"

About the game: I've never dared to see what this music from, tought it's from some anime. But I see style of this game and I like it, especcialy ux/ui, sprites and music. Should try it myself.

after many searches, I can only find out that the man is a baron with heinous sins and was sentenced to be buried alive, player fight him because he is trying to break free from his punishment, you get achievement "buried alive" after defeating him in XBOX360 version

That's bullet hell for you. The player's hotbox is usually just one pixel in the center of the sprite. Of course, the trade off is that bullets fill the screen in complex patterns that you need to weave through.

That's a common thing in bullet hell games. They make the player's hitbox pretty small (usually in the center of the sprite, sometimes it's even visible, like in Touhou), but they absolutely fill the screen with every type of projectile to "balance" it out.
Anybody else think these bosses are actually chill until they get threatened by a flying anime girl?

Where's the hitbox of the player?
Hit boxes are the hearts on the player sprites, you have to look closely to spot them.

no es ningun truco, los juegos bullet hell son asi, los personajes principales tienen 1 hit box unico, si ves el corazoncito pequeño, es ahi donde te tienen que dar, de lo contrario, pasaran las balas por todo el personaje, ademas de ser asi, no tendria en pantalla tantas balas, te recomiendo que veas videos de touho project, donde son millones de balas en pantalla y aun asi los esquivan.
Bro la hitbox de los proyectiles es más pequeña de lo que ves como el proyectil final, de eso se trata, si no sería imposible esquivar sin morir a cada segundo. Juegalo y después hablamos.

Small hitbox at the center of the sprite. Though with so many bullets on screen then you will eventually get hit if you don't evade correctly.
You will see bullet everywhere on screen of most CAVE game like Dodonpachi,Mushihimesama,....

saddly, evade in the 999 all bullets itsreally hard for now, you need use the bombs or the special atk in the right moment, but made the perfect evade, its really, really, really hard.

WELCOME, to the bullet hell world, you can easy die iff you hit in the center of the micro heart you have, thats the only spot you have, iff you can evade any bullet hit that, you become god, i recomended see the same game in 999lv mode, thats the real hell

Deathsmiles 1 and 2 was re-released earlier this year, I think, as a 2-game bundle for all platforms and both games have English in them.

это просто невозможно, программное прохождение. Реальный человек даже одним пикселем персонажа не сможет этого сделать .
Чел, это реальный геймплей в руках человека. Если ты никогда не видел аркадных шмапов (shoot em ups) от компании Cave game и людей которые это проходят, это ещё не значит, что это не возможно. Смертельные улыбки, даже не самая сложная серия игр этой компании, серии игр mushihimesama и dodonpachi намного сложнее, при этом они возможны. Единственная оговорка это количество времени которое у тебя уйдёт на них, к примеру сложнейшего босс этой компании (но которого возможно победить)- Инбачи не могли победить 10 лет в режиме тренировки и только в конце 2021 появился человек который смог её осилить, и сейчас пытается поставить 1All ран в режиме реальной игры, если интересно вот ссылка th-cam.com/video/wqlQDHL8F8I/w-d-xo.html. Игры этой компании это как сложнейшие фан геймы по I wanna be the guy, могут уйти годы на прохождения одной игры, хотя люди, не иронично приходили к выводу, что Cave создавала даже более абсурдные игры, чем iwbtg фангеймы.

@@EGWstg yes but the pixel is at the center of the heart, and bullets are clearly passing through the entire heart at several points, eg 4:57 and again at 5:02.

Also on the video you present as counter point, you can always see daylight between the bullets when he shifts through them, that is not the case here.

On my video at the moment 1:10-1:11, a similar situation occurs, which is even more noticeable in the slowdown of 0.25, and in general in Cave games and not only what looks like a wall of bullets does not mean that it is literally a wall of bullets, since this kind of evasion occurred many dozens of times and there is nothing surprising in them.
