This makes me so excited to start school! You make this look so much more interesting than most people make it out to be! They act like labs are hell....
Hey guys I’ve got some really great news to share with you, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on a cross and resurrected on the third day so you may all have eternal life. If you believe and repent of your sins and put your faith and trust in Him as you would a parachute jumping off a plane at 25000 feet up in the air, He will give you eternal life in heaven as a free gift and I promise you, He will change your life forever as He did mine. He is the ONLY way to heaven and He loves you all. Please think deeply about this with urgency because this is your eternal life and soul, you don’t know when you could die, meaning you could die at any moment, so please consider this with all your heart. If anyone tells you that Jesus isn’t the only way, they are lying to you and they don’t care about your future. Thx for reading.
But why biochemistry is Sach a wonderful Field. That's good not bad. Dear sister u should have to gide me for biochemistry because my 3 year will start from 1 January . What should I do after completion of University. Dear sister Reply me as soon as possible.
Go for straight chemistry as the extra education in physics is useful to be honest through out my studies ended up specialising in organic chemistry energy and thermodynamics and physical chemistry also specialise with NMR and mass spectrometry then agian I'm abit bias as I never liked life sciences
What a cool video! Really liked it. I have one of this format for biomedical science on my own YT channel! Glad I've found you with this clip! Cheers from Belgium.
What would someone have to do in order to research cures for diseases? For example, if someone wanted to find the cure for corona, what would they have to do to get to that position?
I would try to get a degree in either biochemistry, biology, and/or virology. After that, it would all depend on where your experience takes you and so it would be good to do research projects for virology during under grad or as a post bacc.
I'm studying biochemistry at the moment and I'm about to go into my 3rd year. I want to go into industrial production but I'm also interested in Research. What should I do?. And ps I love your video🥰
If you are interested in research, maybe you could look into what industry you are interested in, and do research for that. For example, if you think making vaccines is interesting, maybe you can try and get an REU working with vaccine research to see if you like it. Or, work a temporary research position doing something similar after college. If you haven't already, check out my Chemistry Q&A video (link in description) too! Best of luck!!
It has been four years of undergraduate studies, and in my freshman and sophomore years I took two semesters of physics, two semesters of calculus, and of course a few chem classes. I also have had to take about five biology classes, and of course all the chemistry classes available at my school :)
There was so much self-hate and unneeded in this video that it actually makes me sad... :( you look like a great person! Don’t be so hard on yourself love! ❤️❤️

Hi! I’m majoring in biochemistry next year, is it possible to get a job in bioinformatics straight out of undergrad or do you believe a masters is needed?
I want to study biochem or neuroscience SO BAD but I screwed up my sophomore year of high school by not really doing any work because I was aNgReY aT tHe sYsTeM, do you have any advice or is it over for me
Hey Lannah! Haha it is most definitely not over for you. I suggest that you keep working hard in high school and try and get that GPA back up, then still shoot for the colleges that you want to get into! Work on having amazing applications with great references and I’m sure you can still get to do the major that you want.
My biggest dream is also to be a biochemist..thank you for bringing me a positive vibe ✌😇 now I'm studying bioscience as an undergraduate and waiting to be selected into biochemistry...and if you don't mind can you please share how can we become a biochemist and which path and fields courses we have to go like that?
Hi Angela, I am not an expert at all as far as graduate studies, but I would suggest that you start looking first at what job interest you in the field of chemistry. Try looking at the academic requirements that they ask for to fill the position that you would love to have, and maybe start there!
I’m actually interested in biochemistry but I don’t won’t to do it cause I think there aren’t many jobs and the salary is low or average compared to other jobs
Most of the time for undergrad I worked on it with my professor, mostly for the guiding aspect of it. However, for a lot of REUs you probably will have to do most of the work in searching for one you are interested in and applying
I would definitely check with your school and opportunities there which is the easiest, and then try and look up different REU opportunities online! Some great places to look at would be Amgen Scholars, NSF, or other colleges' research pages.

Thank you!! and biochemistry really has a lot of disciplines and routes that you could do in chemistry after getting your bachelor's; specifically for my biochemistry research I do a lot of cell growth, PCR, protein purification, and assays.
hii i'm going into college next year and having doubts if i should take biochemistry as my premed or not because i dont know if i could do it huhu but u're video makes it looks intresting aaaaa and lowkey it looks so fun to be working in a lab! any advicee? 🥺🥺
I think that it is different for everyone, but don't sell yourself short! It is tough but it is all interesting. But then again, you can work in a lab and not do biochemistry, too. Biochem is a great premed major, but it also is sometimes difficult to get all of your pre-med prerequisites for med school in also because it is a time-consuming major. I'm sure your future school will have different pre-med majors you can look at too if you end up not liking Biochemistry as much!!
@@theLifeofGill omg thank u so much!! i've always considered nursing but it doesn't interest me as much :(( and i've also been thinking about psychology but it's different from the type of doctor i want to be (which is a pedia). i hope i can finish college and become a doctor 😭 it has always been a dream of mine since i was a child 🥺

yes! Pathology is specifically the study of diseases, and although biochem could overlap into this area of science biochemistry isn't specifically medical or have to do with diseases

I really pray and hope you'll reply because your reply is equivalent to saving my life. ❤️
Hi! Thank you so much, I appreciate it! That is a really interesting dual degree, but I think that you can really go far with those two. It will probably open up a lot of doors for you because a lot of times there is a light gap in the highly educated scientists for pharmaceutical companies and the sales representatives. That might give you an advantage over others that you have both the knowledge and communication skills to present the ideas.
@@theLifeofGill Thank you so much for replying love ❤️ You just saved my life. I'm looking forward to new videos from your awesome channel. Stay safe and God bless you
