Well it’s D-Day today as we watch this episode. So thank you for your military service Michael! I’m so proud to have several family members who served in WWII. Never forget! 🇺🇸
Thanks
I second that! Thank you for your service Mike. My Uncle was on the beach in Normandy on that day. He lived to tell about it, but not really. As much as I wanted to know, he'd never say more than, "It was a really bad day". Thank you for your courage and sacrifices Mike.
Wow only 700 miles left ! It’s been fun watching these. Idk what I’m gonna do when you’re all done. Lol. I have really enjoyed seeing the AT from a distance. Thanks !
Absolutely
Hi Mike and Leo! That cabin is so quaint, and you'll need that bug net before Maine for sure. Nice find!! I keep thinking about The Sixth Sense, " I smell clean people". LOL Thank you for the content. Have a great day!
Thanks 👍
That cabin is beautiful! What a blessing for you and Leo. And those falls are amazing. I love that Leo met a little buddy...
Thanks
That cabin is a dream!! Hike 🚶🚶🚶 ON!
Thanks
What a nice cabin and awesome spot near the waterfall! Glad that you and Leo got to enjoy some down time after your hiking push! 700 miles to Katahdin! Amazing! Hopefully by the time you reach Maine the black flies won’t be too bad. They are always worse in the spring.
Yea it's something we will deal with
What a beautiful little cabin, falls that call your name, and a calming spot in the forest! You have been blessed, for sure. And 700 miles to Katahdin!!
Let's go
AWESOMENESS 🙌🙌💗💗💗
Thanks so much!!
I live in CT and love hiking the CT section of the AT especially that area
It's very nice
You commented on downhills being easy for you. Your martial arts training probably serves you well. A strong core and balance is really important going downhill.
Nice cabin, especially for $20.
Thanks
Hehe "he's not even facing me" don't underestimate a snake's tendency to double back, maybe not strike, but often they want to escape to the place from whence they came. I suppose rattlers are a bit less skittish (not an expert, and not from the US, just throwing my two cents 😅). Great hiking, Mike and Leo, lot of distance covered and you always make it look so easy in your vids!
Thanks
Aw, I am bummed that it would have been day 100 for you if I was able to make it out for trail magic. I set up in Falls River, coming out of the woods before the power plant for Stick (day 93 video), Nickel's and Frizzle. They also stayed in the cabin, which is a great deal, but they DID NOT swim. Congrats on a great day!
Sorry I missed it
Gonna take a shower 😂😂😂 now you’re gonna smell like a day hiker 😆😆😆yikes !!!! A Rattlesnake!!! Thank goodness for the hedge of protection around you and Leo! Super nice cabin, glad you made it in time! I bet that cool water felt good on Leo’s feet too..$20 cabin huge blessing!! Whooo hooo for the bug net! .. thank you for sharing your day….Hike on..
Thanks
Day 100!!!
Yup!
This was Paul Newmans homesnd where he raced. I told mynephew Nickels that andhes soyoung. He didnt know who he was!
Well it was amazing
the scent makes you gag , its sooooo sooo "perfumey" you can smell them a half mile away its wild.
It is
That’s so interesting how you smelled the day hikers before you saw them.
My sense of smell is crazy
Leo keeping an eye on you when you went under.
Always
YES!! You were hearing the sounds from Lime Rock Park!! You walked along one of my favorite parts of the AT in CT. So happy you found that great cabin near the falls and bridge! I love having lunch there!! Happy Trails.
So cool!
What a cute cabin! I agree a deal!!
Glad the snake let you know it was there. You made those 19 miles look too easy. Leo looked like he enjoyed his swim too. You 2 are doing great! Happy Hiking!!😊
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful, hiking beautiful cabin! Awesomeness!❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks
What little I could see of that rattle snake it was fat. Cute cabin nice place to rest. That water had to be freezing! I thought I had noticed a slight limp on your left side at Kent then again at the end today. That pizza looked good!
Feet just hurt
Great cabin. Awesome find. Beautiful waterfalls
We agree!
Amazing day - cabin, swimming & pizza! Would think there would be heavy competition to stay in that cabin.
Nope was all mine
Looks like you had an awesome day! That cabin is so cute! Hope you enjoyed your stay! Be safe & happy trails! 😎🥾
I did!
🚶🐕🦺👟👟⛺🌞 700 miles to katahdin you and Leo are doing amazing out there 20 bucks for that cab and you can't beat that it looks like you both enjoyed the beautiful waterfall stay safe and happy hiking 💯💪🏆
Thanks 👍
Congratulations on 1500 miles. Cute cabin.
Thank you!
Loved the waterfall and the cabin, glad you enjoyed the water it looked like it may have been cold
It was!
Way to push the miles, glad to see you got to the cabin by 3. Looks well worth more than $20 so great deal there.
It was great
That's a really nice cabin, good find!
You just reminded me I need to find my bug net for a trip I'm going on in a couple weeks 😂
Your welcome
How is Leo’s paws holding up after all these miles? You two are doing great
He is great
Maybe Thompson Conn??? There is a race track there. Used to go there with my dad when I was a kid.
It was lime rock park raceway
Great hiking and great score on Jenny's cabin! Going to add to my list of visits along the trail. Where was it located? Beautiful falls!!
Great falls
There's a lady I watch on TH-cam from home free Alaska. They have really bad mosquitoes and black thighs and bugs up there and she uses a thermal cell. I guess it's electric but you put a cartridge in it she sticks the unit in her pocket in the top part sticks out and she says it keeps the bugs out of her area I don't know how well it would work like if you're walking a lot but it might be worth a try. I think they cost a little bit of money though not too cheap. But she finds it easier than using a bug net.
That place looks really cool.
Thanks
Great to finally see you in CT. How did you get in contact with the owner of the cabin? Looks like a really nice spot.
It was in the Far out app
Mornin’ Mike! Still watching the video. I presume the swimming spot is in Falls village. Just heard the race course. That is Lime Rock Park. A classic race course.
So as I said yesterday, and I have watched you from day 1, I am cutting my teeth in Connecticut for a 2026 attempt, is Connecticut harder than the southern states? I know it is different in the sense that it is rocky, and the southern mountain trails seemed more smooth. Any insight would be appreciated. The trail south of PA seemed to be more cruizy.
No it's kinda easy Georgia and NC will kick your butt
I’m learning my states geography from you 😅
Don't learn from me I can't even say words right
Is your dog a service dog? Have you had any trouble with him not being allowed anywhere?
He is and only a couple of uniformed people
💯👍👍👍👍✌️
Thanks
What is the cabin name and address if you have
Her info is in Far out on the town icon
@@ISuckatHiking Thanks. What did you say the name was. Jeanne?
