Nice video Adam!! I played there last week and you are right, the camera really flattens it. I see the comparison between Pasatiempo and Augusta National. There isn't a flat lie except on the tee boxes! It was a beautiful course and I hope to get there again.
News flash: 8 handicaps struggle sometimes. 6 over through 9 (and worse) happens to us. I've shot 71 and 95 on this channel. Some of y'all still haven't learned :p
As someone who has played this course many times for free… I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who has to pay the ridiculous $350 price tag for it… it’s nothing special other than to be able to say you’ve played there.
I play with guys that are single digit. I have seen them shoot 74-78 and 90 many times. I agree, everyone has about a 15 shot swing. 5-10 strokes over or under your average score if you are really consistent
Im a 3 and played in a 3 day tournament and went 74-87-85. It was the roughest week of golf i have had haha. The last two days it felt as if I forgot how to swing a club
@@NotAScratchGolfer some of us remember when 18 holes took only 8 minutes Adam. I love that 9 holes now takes 12, especially when the courses and scenery are like Pasa.
The layout is really unique. Hard to capture the natural undulation of the property on video. The green complexes are also the best I've played. They're restoring them now, too. I hope they don't meaningfully change anything. The course feels so unaltered from its original design.
I've only played this course in the Tiger Woods video games, but I wouldn't mind playing it in person. I need to significantly improve my game and actually get down to California to play it, but maybe someday. For now, I'll stick with my local 9 hole courses.
@@NotAScratchGolfer Yeah, it's on Tiger woods PGA Tour 2007. It was kind of an oddball game in the series, and had had a few courses that weren't in the other games.

I'm a 5 handicap, and i know exactly how does a single digit handicap golfer looks like. You can see it in its fundamentals, swing, ball flight and misses. Matt at best its 15-18 handicap. Keep up with the good videos.

So many misconceptions about how handicap players play on off days. An 8 handicap means he *might* score 80 on this course on a good day (probably a little higher, given the slope/rating of this course).
@@NotAScratchGolfer 100%! I understand how the handicap system works- I'm an 11 and have been working my way down (albeit slowly). It's just hard to imagine Matt's an 8 with that kind of swing. Earlier this year I shot a career low 76 and the very next round shot a 92. There's huge variance
@@NotAScratchGolfer Sorry Adam but an 8 handicap doesn't mean he "might" score 80.. It means he regularly scores 80. His average is an 80, sometimes he can score a bit less sometimes he can score a bit more. He still can have horrible days.. But as i wrote on my other comment, just watching his fundamentals, swing, ball flight and misses, he is not a single digit handicap golfer.
@@malfre45 no your wrong. His best golf would be 80, not his average. I’m a 12 handicap. So my best round are around 84. I’ve shot as low as 82 and as high as 103 this year. My scoring average is 88. You don’t understand the handicap system

The food at pasatiempo is so good too. That 3rd hole is sooo tough. Was playing 200 something plus the uphill when I played it.
I've yet to grab a meal there. Noted! And yes, that 3rd hole is a friggin' monster!
