Killing the Helicopter with the car was my favorite scene in this otherwise ridiculous movie. In my opinion this movie and the one in Russia don’t qualify as Die Hard movies. Actually to me Die Hard movies require being stuck in one location and being pretty much one guy against an army,so really the third one isn’t really a Die Hard either since he basically has the whole freaking city as well as the entire police force to help him.

This film isn't perfect but if I had to choose between this and Die Hard 5, I'd take a hundred of this Die Hard over that snoozefest. At least with this one you get a pretty intriguing plot, ridiculously fun action, a great villain (Timothy Olyphant is crazy underrated in this), Mary Elizabeth Winstead being badass, and Bruce Willis actually giving somewhat of a crap about being in this film.
Absolutely! I know DH4 got a lot of $#!t for not being rated R like the others but I liked it tons for much the same reasons you listed plus a few more. Die Hard 5 is the first one to *really* feel like they were phoning it in and making a Die Hard just to milk it. Oddly, for all of the crazy OTT finale with the jet, I thought the rest of the movie was relatively restrained and had some pretty inventive action ideas.

He completely missed the sin after Matt recognized Mai's voice when John was backing up to run away from the helicopter where he was turning the steering wheel but if you look through the windshield the car he's driving was still backing up straight before it actually turned. Smh.
When did that happen? Only time I remember the line being used was right at the end when he shoots through himself and definitely remember him saying "mother-fucker".
I only watch the unrated version anymore now that it exists. The fact that they didn't even use the 1 F word they can use in a PG-13 movie for the iconic line was so dumb
This is the first die hard movie I ever saw. Became a favorite of mine. Can quote every scene word for word. Will never forget the day I learned ON COMPLETE ACCIDENT it was part of an incredible franchise. Lol

I always thought the 'bad guy' in this was genuinely a threat, and holy crap I never realized it was Timothy Olyphant! That just kinda makes him more a badass.
after rewatching it, this movie is one of the first "post-2007 action movies" that all look and feel very similar and formulaic. the nice little moment with the flyleaf music video is still the most memorable and probably best part of the whole movie. which is sad because the cast was good just very underutilized

I saw this movie when I was 12 years old and absolutely loved it! Since then I've realized how bad it is, but it's still one of those movies that's really fun to watch so long as you don't think about it.
8:11 - Common misconception. The shark repellent in Adam West's Batman was not in the utility belt, it was in the helicopter itself, and Robin handed it to Batman.
That's right Robin had to hang upside down with the copter on autopilot to hand the spray to Batman who was pretty calm having his leg chewed off. Either way that was a good goofy movie. This one no where near as good. I always wanted the shark to sacrifice himself when Batman and Robin were magnetized to the bouy instead of a dolphin. Kind of a way to make up for the earlier incident.
One thing I loved about the movie: it was the first movie I've seen where someone took the daughter hostage and father and daughter both recognized that doing so gave them power
Timothy Olyphant had the final standoff changed to him holding McClane hostage and subsequently getting killed when John shoots through himself. The early trailers show a different (cut) standoff

And your just mentioning Home Alone 3, which at least had one of the original team and still felt like it had the spirit of a home alone film, even if it can be watched as a solo film and be seen as much better. 4 however is easily one of the top worst movies ever made, and 5 just chooses to fail in so many ways it's almost sad if you weren't aware they rushed it and it never had a chance in any way regardless.
EL Mephistopheles I liked both movies, especially since both starred my favorite actress, Gemma Arterton, however, they both did have several things wrong with them. Especially PoP.
I myself also had to get one of the rollup keyboards after seeing it in the movie. It took me roughly 2 months to type as fast as I do on a normal keyboard, and even then you have to hit the keys dead on otherwise it won't even register anything.

There wasn’t much of her, at the beginning, where she had sex with a guy and had a fight with her father, showing her strong character, a little in the middle, where she was held hostage, told her father the number of terrorists, and at the end in the final battle, where she screamed along with the stupid jock Emerson, after hitting the henchman Thomas with the back of her head, penetrated with her tied hands into the holster with Emerson's pistol, after which she shot him in the foot and he dropped his machine gun on the floor, screaming, grabbing her hands so that she would not kill him with his own pistol, she turned around while Emerson was screaming and screaming and kicked Emerson's machine gun at his father and Thomas stopped him at the last second, then after everything she ran up to her father and sobbed for her attitude towards him at the very beginning. I saw this movie when I was 12 years old and absolutely loved it! Since then I've realized how bad it is, but it's still one of those movies that's really fun to watch so long as you don't think about it.

8:11 - Common misconception. The shark repellent in Adam West's Batman was not in the utility belt, it was in the helicopter itself, and Robin handed it to Batman.
That's right Robin had to hang upside down with the copter on autopilot to hand the spray to Batman who was pretty calm having his leg chewed off. Either way that was a good goofy movie. This one no where near as good. I always wanted the shark to sacrifice himself when Batman and Robin were magnetized to the bouy instead of a dolphin. Kind of a way to make up for the earlier incident.
The last scene of them in the ambulance when he says "Hospital" is a call back to the other movies where he tells the driver "Let's go home."

One thing I loved about the movie: it was the first movie I've seen where someone took the daughter hostage and father and daughter both recognized that doing so gave them power
Timothy Olyphant had the final standoff changed to him holding McClane hostage and subsequently getting killed when John shoots through himself. The early trailers show a different (cut) standoff

4 however is easily one of the top worst movies ever made, and 5 just chooses to fail in so many ways it's almost sad if you weren't aware they rushed it and it never had a chance in any way regardless.
Even with all the sins, still one of the best die hard movies.

I myself also had to get one of the rollup keyboards after seeing it in the movie. It took me roughly 2 months to type as fast as I do on a normal keyboard, and even then you have to hit the keys dead on otherwise it won't even register anything.

@@Statalyzer I'm saying operators were annoyed when I changed the system to require a confirmation. Before that any mistaken click could start pumps, close relays, shut down systems. It's a minor miracle we don't have more issues with our infrastructure (water, wastewater, electricity) than we do.

There wasn’t much of her, at the beginning, where she had sex with a guy and had a fight with her father, showing her strong character, a little in the middle, where she was held hostage, told her father the number of terrorists, and at the end in the final battle, where she screamed along with the stupid jock Emerson, after hitting the henchman Thomas with the back of her head, penetrated with her tied hands into the holster with Emerson's pistol, after which she shot him in the foot and he dropped his machine gun on the floor, screaming, grabbing her hands so that she would not kill him with his own pistol, she turned around while Emerson was screaming and screaming and kicked Emerson's machine gun at his father and Thomas stopped him at the last second, then after everything she ran up to her father and sobbed for her attitude towards him at the very beginning.
There wasn't much of her in this film, unfortunately …..
