At 33:38 indeed there was lethal if we full-sent to the Leader: 4 shivs would deal 56 physical damage, 4 poison damage and 28 Sadistic Nature damage (total 88) 2 strikes would deal 12 physical damage, 2 poison damage and 14 SN damage (total 116)
Yep, -18 HP into Act 2 boss. Very poor RNG with getting both Sadistic Nature and Envenom stolen by the minions. At 38:52 if he doesn't draw leg sweep, he's dead. Pretty close! :]

@@JJ-on3yv I like that with the Silent runs we’ve been getting fewer OP act 1 decks. The broken clad decks are great, but can only watch so many sneko strength exhaust runs
Yeah, i recently also discovered sadistic nature. My first silent heart kill on A20. It was also my first ever deck with sadistic nature. That is why i love this game. You can have 500 hours, and still find something new in every run.
despite the deck in this run being much weaker, it was really gimmicky, and seeing you pull off amazing comebacks and limp around but make it was wayy more satisfying than a run where you get nightmare + upgraded catalyst and destroy everything
idk if this gets addressed later in the video, but at 33:41 i do believe you have a kill on gremlin leader - unless im missing something Each shiv hits for 14 base + 7 sadistic + 1 envenom = 22 x 4 shivs = 88 you have 2 energy left and 2 strikes 2 spend them on: 6 base + 7 sadistic + 1 envenom = 14 x 2 strikes = 28 28 + 88 = 116 takeaway is that sadi + envenom + shivs hits like an artillery shell, apparently edit: im seeing some comments farther down to similar effect
This run definitely did a lot of damage once all the powers got down, so much so that Baalor made quite a bit of uncharacteristic mistakes counting damage. Missing lethals that could have reduced damage or putting extra damage into things that would already have died. The 1:15:20 moment was a waste of a vuln pot, since it was already dead without it, and it could have shaved a turn or two off the heart,or been used earlier to save damage on the spear/shield fight. Tbf, the damage calculations on this were extremely complicated, with the shiv bonuses, poisons, and sadistic nature.
I think "mind blowingly good" isn't how I'd describe this run haha. It was mainly running on the skin of its teeth the whole time, thank gosh for that kunai you bought that you weren't going to buy! Maybe mind blowingly good content, I prefer the runs where you snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
1:15:02 Not sure why Baalor is underestimating his own damage. He could have killed spear here without using the potion, playing the same cards and blocking the same amount of: 2 shivs, each dealing 15 damage + 7 sadistic + 1 poison, would be 46 damage Plus the dagger throw’s 19 damage (11 + 7 + 1) is 65. It was way more than enough
@@elim9054i was referring to a second later when, after having played two shivs, Baalor deliberated on the need for the Fear potion. You could also note how with just two shivs the spear’s health dropped all the way to 57 HP, and he still has a cloak and dagger and dagger throw left
Literally just had my first Silent plus Sadistic run. I used the mirror to copy an upgrades Sadistic. Poison blade landed in my hands as my first few card options so I took them and replaced strikes. Turning Neutralize into a 17 damage plus weak card at zero cost is so fun. oh, and 3 copies of piecing wail was pretty great addition.
It would have been expensive with only 3 energy, but at around minutes you could have had an upgraded Riddle With Holes to go with your Envenom and Sadistic Nature. That's a killer combo
Mind-blowingly good run with a mind-blowingly mediocre deck. I really liked it. Thik it highlighted Baalorlord's mastery of the game, winning with a struggling deck like that. I am a big fan of "low budget spire" as well.
I have been taking distraction more as it was early floors and the other card picks were bad.... It actually ended up saving me the run during the champ fight with a catalyst AND the heart fight by giving me malaise. It was wonderful
loved this run, i would not have run this run and would have retried several fights several times before just sayings its not gunna work and play irnclad again
Literally any more draw. The run might have just ended if MoS wasn't purchasable in that store. Backflip and Calculated Gamble would have gone crazy with Kunai and Bandages respectively, but Acrobatics is pretty much always good on 4+ energy too.
In general losses tend to get way worse views that wins do as an overall trend, as I understand it. But in his Unedited YT page, he's been posting 'Low-Budget Spire' runs that also include losses.
The short answer is that they don't perform as well in the algorithm. I recommend going to the VODs channel "Baalorlord unedited" if you want to see losses mixed in with wins, as well as a bit of post-run commentary. Video titles note the games played and video chapters mark out runs.
I don't understand that. Do people skip to the end first and if it's a loss they decide not to watch it? I'd gladly watch a loss because it would make an unpredictable outcome out of every other video by extension. If I see a video now, I know it's a win before I even click it. But if losses were uploaded as well you'd never now which is which until the end
I think that innate cards would he actually good for your deck if they drew after your starting 5. It’s really hard to commit 1 of your 5 draws to a specific card every combat…
@@92larsko yeah if you don't quite get some drops it can be tougher. It still wins more than it doesn't. This is still a great win path for silent regardless

"Mind Blowingly Good!" is accurate - it simply does not refer to the deck, but to Baalorlord's ability to eke a W here.

Has baalor ever answered why he doesn't post losses? For the streaks specifically I'd love not knowing whether he wins or loses.

Often times the "loss" isn't that interesting. A lort of losses are down to low rolls on low rolls with bad draws on an already struggling deck.

Kunai saved the run act 2. That was suuuuuuper close.
Currently, im at late act 3, and i dont think the escape plan has drawn a skill a single time 😅😢
I did its job from the act 3 bosses forward 🎉
It did a couple of times, but not often enough lol

Sadistic nature, envenom, and a shiv deck is auto win. I always go for it now and it's kind of consistent if you get the nature

I’m most definitely copying this seed and picking Panache :)
Is this foreshadowing him having 3 blade dance?

For a skillful player, a not so good deck is just good enough to win! GG!
because Jürgen Würgen is another term for Mastubate in German
Kunai hard carried most this run
Tight run although you weren't always tight. RNG was really not too friendly to you though. Bandage up then laughed at your face.
Not exactly “Mind blowingly good” when you’re hanging on for dear life the entire time
