I am 80 years old and am going to make jewelry because I am inspired by your videos. These are very instructive and educational. It helps me to learn a lot about making jewelry.
I value your content on here so much! I've spent the past nearly 2 months teaching myself wax ring making and I made the too-small-bezel mistake myself. Not being afraid to make mistakes is such a integral part of learning, so I didn't stress, but this video is exactly what I needed! Thank you for all of the time and energy you invest :)
Omg this is so helpful, thank you so for your content! I can’t even say how helpful your content is in learning and especially in knowing what equipment to buy / what can wait AND how to use everything!
The cameo ring turned out beautiful!! I've always loved cameo jewelry, so cool to see such a vintage one! Lovely to see you getting more comfortable with casting
I'm so glad you are in the US and getting settled! And I'm so happy that you have your own work space. I'm enjoying all of your videos and am thrilled you are casting! The weather here in NE Oklahoma has actually been fairly pleasant so far this year. Only a couple of very cold snaps. We can be 80 one day and in the 20s the next, so it's always interesting. However, much of the equipment I work on is in an uninsulated area of the shop, so casting and cutting slabs and making cabochons is hindered for a few months. Working on getting a temp regulated space for those tasks, but not there yet. So nice to see you have the support you deserve to pursue your passion.
I love your cozy setup by the fireplace 😊! Also wanted to say thank you so much for your videos! I still have a long ways to go, but I made my first ring this week, and I am so excited to keep learning 🥰 your videos are so encouraging
Looks great! This is a general question for any stone. Do you ever have to take precautions with the heat and a stone or can you do this method with any gemstone. TIA
I can’t tell you how long I’ve been looking for a video like this !!!!!!! Thank you !!! :’) Do you have any recommendations for resources to learn about creating settings in wax? Like books or other videos?
how do u make sure to not scratch the stone?! im kinda scared to scratch up my opals... any Tips on that?! wiuld appreciate it! btw love your work!!!❤️❤️
Thank you so much! Anytime I’m working with a softer stone, I typically tape the surface of the stone with painters tape so I don’t accidentally scratch it. 💜 A Barrett file is also very very helpful when filing prongs on a soft stone! It is a file on the bottom but smooth on the sides. 👍🏻Take your time and also use your magnifying glasses when working with those softer stones so you can really see what you’re doing and how close you are 💜 I hope this helps 🙏🏻

Will you be making molds of your wax pieces at all? I'd like to keep molds of some of my pieces for reproduction work.

When you make a prong setting in wax how do you get the stone out?? Wouldn’t the wax break?
Prong/claw
Where do you usually buy jeweller's wax? On amazon I see a lot of bad reviews, so I'm not sure where to get it.
Can you please show or explain us how to change that ring into different sizes?
Can you help me please?
what to use to remove wax fences?.liquid or heat.
Could you tell me please 🎉
我在中国看了你的视频,希望能到你的家乡学习你的技能
What’s the blue wax?
How does your metal not shrink with casting? I did this and now my stone doesn’t fit anymore
I’m so sorry, I am not 100% why I don’t experience shrinkage but I never have 🥺 are you sending in a wax master piece?
Please tell me, How much do I need to invest to start casting jewelry, I mean how much will the whole setup cost?
