This is such a great update!! I came here from your The Ordinary video, and I've been on a similar journey. My hair has always been pretty thin, and I've also started dyeing my hair red!! I have a feeling the dye and my hair care has contributed to more thinning than I'm a fan of. Thank you for posting about your journey and everything you've tried!

I’ve been going through the same issue! Have always had fine, thinner hair, but never so thin that I could see my scalp. I’m naturally blonde but started dyeing my hair red and at first I loved it, but then I felt like I was losing more hairs than ever before in the shower. Then my scalp became crazy noticeable inches back along my hairline. Ironically I also contracted Covid around the same time. Hairstylist thinks it was all the stress from that but I can’t help but wonder if the dye did some irreparable damage. It’s been 9 months and I’ve gone back to blonde and I swear I’m losing way fewer hairs since going back to my natural color. It’s been a roller coaster of dermarollers and expensive vitamins and trying all sorts of things but the visible scalp seems here to stay. Am contemplating minoxidil but am so scared it’ll exacerbate my problem and that I’ll become dependent on it forever.

Thank you for this video 🤩❤️.
I too have medium to low density hair and I’ve always felt a little self conscious about it, but now that I’m 25 I kind of just accepted it, embraced it even.

Did you have your ferritin (stored iron) checked? Even if you are in the normal range, if it is at the low end of the range it can cause hair loss
