I bought the standard length 8 piece set about 10 months ago and I've been very impressed with them. The tips are very hard, the #2 Phillips has been used a lot and the black oxide coating doesn't show any wear whatsoever, which is a record for any screwdriver set I've ever had. I do own the Snap-on equivalent that I inherited from my grandfather, that set is from about 1990. Personally, I like the feel of the Tekton handles slightly better but would like to see the nut bolster on the Tektons.

I have always liked the old Snap On handles so it is nice to see a Tekton with a similar handle.
Also really nice to see they are made in America.
I don't care what anyone says, you can't trust the quality control in China. It may start off great but corners will be cut to extract extra profit, that is just how they work.

      I agree.
Durability is yet to be determined but i really like the feel of these larger handles.
The #1 size philips and flat handle are too small for me though, feel awkward.
Price is great for USA made set.

@@BGGarage I feel the same, I prefer the larger handles but I think they make them smaller to stop up over torquing and breaking small screws.

    How are they holding up?

I think if black oxide is necessary for a tip on the chrome shaft, then the black oxide shafts would be the better one.

I wanted those ones! The long full black oxides are being discontinued though

Personally Tekton has the best feeling handle on the market. I tried their comfort grip and do not care for it. Everyone's hand is different but the red handle fits mine perfectly.

I have been using these for the last 9 months or so, and some updated tri lobe grip craftsman screwdrivers...I have to say...the tri loe is really where its at. It has the most natural feeling in the palm shape. I find the #2 and higher Tekton hard handles are a bit too large causing cramping in my hand, and I do have xl hands. The #1 is slimmer and fits me nicer.

I don't like the tips, they're too blunt.
