I love how when u were fighting Kuroobi, u used Sanji's ultimate to defeat him. while fighting Hachi, u used Zoro's ultimate to defeat him and while fighting Choo, u used Usopp ultimate to defeat him
These games may have continued if the 4kids dub was a big money maker. I believe this game was made as a tie in for that and was never released in Japan. It was fun but sadly since it was tied to that disaster it never became a series.
Too bad they didn't make a sequel with everything up through the Alabasta Arc, considering that the assets for the characters were already there and the 4Kids dub went up until right before Jaya.
It would have been incredible to see a sequel to Alabasta, since this game is very good and very faithful to the original material and as you say it is based on the 4Kids translation.😔😔 Hopefully and one day they dare to make a 2D One Piece game of all the sagas because that would be spectacular. 🤩🤩🤩🤩

As a fellow One Piece fan who grew up on the 4kids dub. I love how u defeated the bosses by using the moves from the manga and anime especially the boss fight with Hachi, Chu and Kurobi.

Man I missed this game, back then I was stuck mostly at buggy, kuro, django, smoker and really stuck at arlong's park, the part where the icy paths, I used to get stuck at that part, and also in arlong boss fight, it's really hard for me to beat as a kid, takes a lot of focus to not to miss in grabbing the floating thingy to grab on. Damn great memories.
I played this when I was six and tried like 50 times to beat it but always lost at Diango The Hypnotist. I never progressed any further in the game. Crazy to believe I only managed to beat a fourth of it. Probably one of the most difficult games I have ever played. At least in retrospective.
It's a very difficult game, it didn't just happen to you. To make the video I had to fight with each boss many times to discover his pattern and be able to defeat him in the best possible way. 😐😐

Man, I actually thought I dreamed this game up entirely. It was so fun, but I never made it past Arlong. 5:27 Holy shit, it's Michael Jackson. Gin would always knock me down, then immediately follow up with breaking the platform. That was horrendously frustrating.
It's an amazing game that many of us had a hard time completing. I died many times when I had to scale the floating things to get to the ceiling in the Arlong fight. Yes, the author created this character inspired by Michael Jackson, like many others. 😎

I remember I would play this game from an emulator on my phone and never making it past Arlong Park simply because I could never proceed to the boss there. Man, those were good times.
Ive recently picked this game back up and im starting to wonder if you can do any combos. For example with a lot of bosses you can use sanji special then jump behind and jab, but dont gatling to rack up some damage. Gatling and strong moves reset a lot of bossess letting them get revenge values. I also found out that gum gum pistol if done right really gives you a lot of special points. Do you know if theres any special combos you can do? Also if you want to escape certain attacks like kuros pusy foot manuever and arlongs dive you can jump and double tap down arrow to float a bit with gum gum balloon
The game only reaches the Loguetown arc. It may have been because of the production time, or that they were planning to do a continuation, since the Alabasta Arch is very large. That's why it makes sense for Smoker to be the final boss.
I remember being stuck on the moving camera shipwreck stage.. there is one thing to grab there that i can't pull off since the camera was moving and was stuck there until i got bored.. since to this day, i haven't finished this game
Are you talking about the fight against Don Krieg, which you have to jump over various obstacles to get to him? It is possible that the game had an error for you in that part, but maybe it is only once. It would be good if you try it several times because it is a great game and it is worth winning it. 😉😉😉

I just played this game last mo th for my first time, I guess Alvida is skippable because I definitely didn't fight her. Also, the Buggy fight is hell, and the Smoker chase ruined my night. The game is really good
Yes, you can skip Alvida's second fight. Buggy is complicated but if you learn the pattern of his attacks you can defeat him with just a little difficulty. Smoker's chase was the most stressful because in itself, the fight against him is difficult, then there is this race that he loses once and for all if you fail at something. 😖😖😖
It took me a long time to discover his pattern. But he can only be attacked by performing a combo when he throws his hands with the knives forward and manages to dodge. But first he should hit him on the head and then continue attacking with the combo.

Wow i played this game a few years ago on an Emulator in hard mode and buggy was nearly unbeatable. I couldn't stand a chance and i never came beyond buggy😂 Maybe i will try that again

I made use of Sanji’s Second Special to provide healing for myself during the Arlong & Chaser/Smoker boss fights.
It is a very good option, since these fights are long and difficult and due to carelessness you can go wrong. 😁😁😁

Considering they were going with the 4kids dub with this game, I'm genuinely surprised they kept the guns looking like guns and the threats of death.

It's an amazing game that many of us had a hard time completing. I died many times when I had to scale the floating things to get to the ceiling in the Arlong fight. Yes, the author created this character inspired by Michael Jackson, like many others. 😎

You just gotta get the timing down and try not to get damaged on the ground battle before going up.

Ive recently picked this game back up and im starting to wonder if you can do any combos. For example with a lot of bosses you can use sanji special then jump behind and jab, but dont gatling to rack up some damage. Gatling and strong moves reset a lot of bossess letting them get revenge values. I also found out that gum gum pistol if done right really gives you a lot of special points. Do you know if theres any special combos you can do?
Also if you want to escape certain attacks like kuros pusy foot manuever and arlongs dive you can jump and double tap down arrow to float a bit with gum gum balloon
Fun fact: this is one of the only one piece games to not release in japan.
I knew that it was the only game that had been released outside of Japan, but it didn't come out there. Too bad for them because it's so much fun. 😔😔😔

The game only reaches the Loguetown arc. It may have been because of the production time, or that they were planning to do a continuation, since the Alabasta Arch is very large. That's why it makes sense for Smoker to be the final boss.

I just played this game last mo th for my first time, I guess Alvida is skippable because I definitely didn't fight her.

Yes, you can skip Alvida's second fight. Buggy is complicated but if you learn the pattern of his attacks you can defeat him with just a little difficulty. Smoker's chase was the most stressful because in itself, the fight against him is difficult, then there is this race that he loses once and for all if you fail at something. 😖😖😖
Buggy stopped that immaculate victory.
I only got as far as the Arlong fight cause I was terrible at the climbing part.
That part is extremely difficult. You have to learn Arlong's attack pattern and be careful not to fall. 😖😖😖

How did you easily beat buggy when i combo at him when he uses the hand launcher thing my gatling wouldn't work and he would just dodge it
It took me a long time to discover his pattern. But he can only be attacked by performing a combo when he throws his hands with the knives forward and manages to dodge. But first he should hit him on the head and then continue attacking with the combo.
