    The Fender American Vintage '56 Stratocaster takes you straight back to mid-1956, when the model was still new and when what is quite possibly the most prized and popular neck ever affixed to the instrument first appeared-a thick one-piece Maple neck with a soft "V" shape, comfortably rounded edges and a then-new butterfly string tree on the headstock. Such meticulous authenticity even extends to the single-ply white scratchplate with eight holes, lightweight Ash body with deep contours, and vintage-accurate pickups (Alnico 3 pickups debuted in 1956), bridge saddles, machine head spacing and more.
    The American Vintage series introduces an all-new line up of original-era guitars that bring Fender history and heritage to authentic and exciting new life. With key features and pivotal design elements spanning the mid-1950s to the mid-1960s, the American Vintage series instruments delve deep into Fender's roots-expertly preserving an innovative U.S. guitar-making legacy and vividly demonstrating like never before that Fender not only knows where it's going, but also remembers where it came from.
    The American Vintage Series has long presented some of Fender's best selling guitars (their early-'80s introduction, in fact, was one of the first signs that Fender was "back" as the CBS era ended). Today, Fender has boldly cleared the slate to make way for a fresh American Vintage series with new features, new specs and the most meticulous level of vintage accuracy yet - just like the Fender Vintage '56 Stratocaster depicted here in Aged White Blonde.
    Rather than just replacing the previous models with different ones, Fender have completely and comprehensively re-imagined the entire vintage-reissue concept-restoring original tooling dies, voicing new pickups, reformulating vintage colors and more-based on actual vintage guitars they tracked down to make sure they had it right. Fender did the work, and it shows, because there's pure tonal magic in each new American Vintage instrument. For those of you who love the vintage style Fender Stratocaster design but with contemporary features then check out the Fender American Vintage'56 Stratocaster shown here in Aged White Blonde ...

    This is about the best demo of a guitar I have seen. Great filming, narration and playing. Unlike most demos, the player (who is very good) chose music to demonstrate the potential of the guitar, instead of showing off his own ability. I appreciate this. Actually the demo has put me over the top to buy this model. Thanks.

    I think the newer vintage series are much more truer to the originals than the Fullerton attempt in 1982.

    Great demo as usual. Brilliant sounding guitar.

    Had my heart set on the sonic blue rosewood neck 59 but think I might opt for this one. Sure sounds and looks great.

    What's the difference between the ash body and alder body for tone?

    • @murfdog19
      @murfdog19 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not much. There is quite the debate over whether different woods have any effect on tone. I believe there are very subtle differences. But, in a solidbody electric guitar, 90% of your tone is in the pickups, bridge and amp.

    The only thing I don't like about these new reissues are the pale looking necks

    • @MH-lh1bf
      @MH-lh1bf 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well that’s how they came new. Mine is a few years old now and the „pale“ turned into a beautiful yellowish tint. If u are a smoker the yellowing should occur even quicker 😅

  • @Zhaggysfaction

    I don't have a problem with it being there. I just have a problem with Fender saying it it the most accurate recreation of the vintage guitar as humanly possible when we all know it's not. So why put it there? Same thing with the tone for the bridge pickup. IRC it wasn't on the original 56 strat so why put it there either. If it was 56 "inspired" then no problem putting these convenient "upgrades" there. But "The real deal" 56 strat, you should stay true to it.

  • @Zhaggysfaction
    @Zhaggysfaction 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    5-way switch on a 56 strat? Either go all the way or don't say you do.

    Fender makes a big mistake making those guitar with a 9.25 radius and big frets because the real vintage guitars have 7.25 radius and smaller fret! The paradox is that maxican made classic 50 is more accurate.
    Learn fron gibson that make a perfect replica of the 59! I'm not saing that ar not good guitar actually are more playable but absolute not vintage style

    • @longturn99
      @longturn99 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Might want to check the specs again American Vintage is 7.25 radius. Trynig to a compare a 6k Gibson Les Paul re issue with a 2k american vintage strat?? different ball park I think

    • @UmbertoRonco
      @UmbertoRonco 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you have right about the specs.
      But the luthery of a gibson is so different from fender i don't find mani difference from a mexican standar an an american one apart laquer finish tha age better

    • @UmbertoRonco
      @UmbertoRonco 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fender si only two peaces of wood screwed together so the equivalent of a 6k riessue in fender have to be 2k

      Ps i'm a huge fender fan mor than Gibson

      According to fender, these 56 models have the 7.5" radius.
