I’m happy to hear finally a makeup artist saying not to mix all those products together. I see so many videos of people mixing everything together and it always confuses me. Nikki’s way is so simple to achieve

I didn’t know I was under painting for all these years 🙈 I’m 37 & it’s how I learned to do my makeup as a teen & I’ve never switched it up hahaha I love it, I love my makeup to enhance my natural features not to look like makeup
I’m thinking about doing the same thing. I’m going to play with it and see if I can make it look good.

I feel like underpainting only works if there's not much spots you have to conceal on your face. But underpainting for the nose sounds like a good idea and I would definitely try it out ❤

I really love both ways but definitely underpainting make you look more flawless and more natural it all depends on the day and the mood.
As I age, I notice creams work better and look better on my skin. I am also a big fan of light foundation. Definitely going to try the underpainting method. Thanks!

I’m a powder foundation person (due to oily and acne prone skin) and I found it’s hard to use my cream products as I probably use liquid foundation once a week. But now with underpainting I can apply them right after my sunscreen! Really love the result and I do find less foundation is needed x
Tysm for explaining how you do this!! I wouldn’t have thought of using this method with powder foundation. I have dry skin but I’m helping a friend with oily, acne prone skin with her makeup soon so it’s really helpful to understand all the different options that might work better for her! Especially because her skin is sensitive too. She might not tolerate all the products, so I want to have as many options as I can!

i would love to try underpainting!!! i loveeee that i don’t have to blend “perfectly” and then i can use much less tinted moisturizer, and the final look is soooo gorgeous!!! thank you so much for teaching us this technique. you have NO IDEA how helpful this video is for me. you TRULY are the best!!! 🥰🥰🥰

Would love some tips on makeup (contour, highlight, blush, etc) placements on different face shapes. Also help with color selection. I can easily select eye, cheek & lip colors that work for me but concealer, highlighter, bronzer and concealer shades for different skin tones is trickier. Enjoy your videos.

Girl back in the day when I was young, we always put our concealer on before foundation. That is just how it was done 😂 now I’ve done gotten in the habit of doing on top of my foundation. I keep telling myself I’m going to try the “old” way again but out of habit I don’t think about it until I’ve put my foundation on 😂. I’ve been loving the Maybelline 24hr skin tint plus vitamin c. You should try it and give us your thoughts.

no because putting your foundation over the powders would probably cause the products to move around!

I accidentally bought a bronzer that was a shade too dark for me. It was a bit expensive, so I can't afford to buy another one, so I use it to underpaint and it turned out perfectly! Thx for the tips!
