This projector was in a brochure with the Super Showtime 8mm projector in its original box. Kodak also made 16mm sound projector to show movies with sound, but the Sound 8 can record and run a movie while in play. This was before Super 8 was introduced in 1965.
@Panarech We intend too, there are reams of them. My aim is to transfer them all to digital. My Nephew picked bits featuring family a few years ago and put them on video.
@Panarech I have my dads sound 8 Projector and a suitcase full of his films. I just got it out and the bulb went and so I came across your video, on searching for some information.
It will not run super 8 sound movies. This projector came out in 1959 and was kept on the market until about 1963. It will only run standard 8mm sound and silent films. Super 8 sound did not come on the market until about 1965 and Kodak made a different projector of similar design for that format.

@Panarech It certainly is, but to be fair, the projector hasn't been used for some years.
@Panarech Luckily there was a spare bulb in the suitcase!
Love the way this process works.... I noticed there's a 'stop-pop' every 20-30 seconds.. what was that caused by? Excellent video! Thumbs up!
