young poolee. that training guide is not an option. you need to exercise once a day. 7 stretches, 7 exercises and a 3 mile run. over do it to over prepare. a good recruiter will test you and tell you where you should be. i recruited and we tested our poolees all the time.

Having been in the USMC for one enlistment 10 years ago, I know the fleet isn't always that great and Marines always have some kind of complaint about their command, NCOs/Staff NCOs, food, barracks, waiting to EAS, all that stuff. The list goes on and on. But hopefully you by next year when you have to EAS you'll have made a decision that's going to work for you and not listen to some SNCO telling you you won't make it in the real world and you should just reenlist.
I had a very different experience. We paid a guy for a case of beer and drank all night. When we got back to the room "The Good The Bad and The Ugly" had just started on tv. When they woke us to go down the show was still going (towards the end). People were puking and passing out in the lines. We did all the testing, full eye contact with the guy looking at me pee. Then the weird Indian guy staring at your starfish. Then we got on a plane, got off the plane and on to a bus. Onto the footprints, then it was hell for the next 48 hours. and then hell for the next 4 years. Good times. Semper Fi
My recruiter told me to wear something professional looking so like jeans and a polo if you have one if not then like a business shirt something casual but professional. Shoes don’t matter as long as they’re closed toe shoes. You’re most likely going to wear the same outfit the next day for processing but if you don’t want to you can pack an extra shirt/jeans
Recruiters say that but I’m hearing people show up with sweat pants and t shirts. I don’t want to show up business professional and everyone is casual and I’m uncomfortable.
Obviously don’t go in looking like you’re about to go into an interview but as long as you wear some dark jeans, polo/long sleeve business shirt and some casual shoes you should be good. If other marines are wearing sweatpants then that just looks bad on them and their RSS, you’ll rarely see that but like I said it looks bad on them. In the end the only person you should be worried about is yourself and how you present yourself in front of your liaisons. No matter what you’re going to feel overdressed because marines are the only branch that sends their recruits looking professional which personally made me feel like a badass lol
Karina Salazar the only people I know who went to meps business professional was other Officer candidates like myself who were army or navy. Another one of my friends went to dcc as a jag and didn’t even have to go to meps. But thanks for the reply...

What if I pass the ASVAB at Hawaii Job Corp Center do I have to take it again like for the ASVAB do I have to take it again or can I skip that and just go to the next stage and can I bring my JROTC certificate because I did JROTC for four years and I’ve always wanted to be a Marine and I wanna do 0300 Infantry and I’ve always wanted to be a Marine just like my grandfather and I wanna make a difference as a Marine and I wanna make my family proud as a Marine
That’s awesome! I’m not sure if you’d have to retake it though that’s a good question for a recruiter but definitely bring your ROTC certificate I believe that can get you contract PFC but don’t quote me on that once again that’s a question you’d need to ask your nearest recruiter 😊

You can bring your JROTC Certificate but your HS Transcript will show that you were in JROTC, and yes if you complete at least 2 years of JROTC you will be contracted as a PFC. As far as the ASVAB goes yes you have to take it again. I also took it in my Junior year I think, when I took it again at MEPS I scored higher.
What,s the minimum height and weight for men to join the Marines? im 5, 3 or maybe 5, 4. I don't know, its been a while since I was measured. but I know my weight is pretty decent. 160 pounds. im not worried about the weight, my main concern is the height. im really passionate about joining, I don't want to have to join another branch just because im a few inches too short.
just remember when you’re an adult, your parents do not control you, no matter how much they think they do. live your life the way you think is best FOR YOU not THEM. You can try to convince them by telling them the benefits of the military but sometimes parents are just scared and are worried. You just have to tell them you’re strong enough and determined

They check your hands and feet to make sure you don’t have anything unusual or something they might be able to treat before hand that’s about it

I’m 5’4 & 135 but throughout bootcamp, MCT, the schoolhouse etc.. my weight fluctuated up and down but now I’m at a solid 135 😊
