Im a noob to this but I love this RC car. I already have 2 lmao, one as the backup spare parts truck. Crashed it so many times and pretty much changed the whole frontend. Oh and put in a 60c battery and probably blew both diffs so got two new incoming.. lmao.
Surprised how fun and easy it is to work on the car, it looked intimidating but honestly its not so hard and its very rewarding!

Thanks, my Brother 👊! Much agreed, this is definitely a cool one with the scale details. Had to wait for the free shipping option and price drop, but worth it. Kinda surprised they went with a 2300kv, prob to save with a cheaper ESC. It'll get repurposed tho. The brushed version is also pretty solid. Great to build from too, but it wasn't in stock at the time. Basically the same chassis as the other ZD 1/10s. Hope you had a great weekend and a awesome week ahead 🤙 thanks for all the support!

What makes you say those shocks are great? I got the brushless version as well but im kind of underwhelmed with the quality of the parts. I changed the servo to a 25kg servo straight out of the box. On my 2nd run i broke the left front caster, left front hub and left front cvd/driveshaft. I was kind of surprised that the plastic suspension arms didnt break too, even though it was quite a low impact but frontal crash. Still i ordered the aluminium aftermarket suspension arms as well as the aluminium aftermarket servo saver. On my 3rd run (with all aluminium parts installed) i did a few small jumps (3 or 4 ft), which it took effortless and it had a nice balanced flight and good cushioned/dampened landing on all four. However as soon as i pushed it a bit further (5/6ft) i lost control in the air and had a rough landing on the rear wheels. Turned out that landing bottomed out and broke the rear left shock. On top of that, as i was waiting for replacement parts i noticed the side pins on the front of the driveshaft broke as well, leaving me with 2WD, although im not sure at which point this had happened. I bought the DBX-10 because i love its look and i dont like monstertrucks, however as far as durability goes it doesnt take bashing very well. I will continue to upgrade this rc car and try to make it as durable and unbreakable as i can, but im already looking for non-original parts that could fit because im not convinced with the chinese ZD racing parts. Especially the steering links and a-arms look very thin and will probably bend or break at some point. The bottomplate looks sturdy but really doesnt hold up that well against rocks, pebbles and gravel.

      Thanks for watching 🤙!
Sorry to hear about your breaks. So far, I've snapped a front axle clipping the front wheel on a fence. I also swapped out the junk stock servo for a faster 20kg. I did the motor swap bcuz I thought the stock kv was too low. The faster motor rips hard.
IMO the brushless version isn't great for bashing. The metal chassis is heavy and prone to bend, but it's stable for speed compared to the plastic chassis. I had the weight and the bending issue with my 1/8 ZD mt08 and sc08.
The brushed version has the plastic chassis, but the shocks and other parts are also downgraded.
I do like the dbx bcuz of the body and scale details. But don't recommend for bashing.
For a budget RC(comparing HSP, VRX, eachine...), I really like the shocks. They have great dampening and have the metal bodies. I've had a couple of plastic body shocks blow out at the cap just because the threads gave out.
Overall, I'm a fan of zd racing. I have a few of their rigs, which have been bang for the buck. I recommend their 1/10 kits. Cheap, easy to assemble and you can configure with your own parts. Note that you can bind one dumborc tx to multiple Rx, great for future builds.
Prices have gone up, but watch for deals. I picked up the buggy and truggy kits for under $90. I got this dbx brushless for $200, and the brushed version for $140.
      Hope you enjoy your rig👊

@@motorheadaddictions2761 I still very much enjoy this car. As you said the scale and details are awesome and no matter where you drive it you'll always attract a crowd. By now I replaced the driveshaft and tinkered a bit with the slipper clutch. It always felt like I wasn't able to turn all that power into motion, but now she's a wheely beast. It true this car just isn't made for bashing but I switched out the original shocks for Traxxas Big Bore shocks which makes all the difference. Unfortunately I cracked one of the front wheels so next up on the upgrade list are metal rims 😂 keeps it interesting lol 🤣

Hello, I would like to know the diametric pitch of the dbx 10 Brushless motor pinion?
because I need this information to be able to buy a bigger sprocket, because what I bought without knowing it, broke the teeth.

is the stock brushless motor shaft 3.175mm or 5mm?

Seem like ah nice upgrade bro. How to does the car run this motor? Is it lacking any low-end power?
I ordered a roller kit of this and is struggling to find the right KV Motor to match the weight. Do you thing 3660 3200KV should be fast enough with the include 17T pinion?

    • @RazzleDazzle040
      @RazzleDazzle040 ปีที่แล้ว

Actually the 2300kV brushless motor is a perfect fit for this RC car straight out of the box, giving it a nice topspeed onroad and amazing torque offroad.

zd racing DBX 10 brushless ,It's not worth it for $300 because. Put another $100 you can buy a really good RC car, like the Traxxas Rustler.... I don't say this is not a good car. it's a nice car but that kind of money is too expensive for Chinese car... I would rather go fo r Traxxas Rustler for that money... 😊

It’s not always about buying a better car. Some just like to build on cheaper cars for fun. 💪🏾
