GBO2 Psycho Doga: It has better melee damage than Rebawoo?!

- This video contains two matches I had with the recently released LV1 Psycho Doga on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 650 cost general with excellent stagger ability, very high melee damage, great mobility, solid mid-range shooting output and a wide reaching beam saber downswing. It doesn't really have any stand out weaknesses apart from it not having the longest range, which isn't a huge weakness for a melee focused general. This suit feels like it always has a way to stagger you so it can confirm its highly damaging melee combos, while the great mobility makes it easy for you to approach enemies. I was pretty tired while recording these matches but I still thought that I showed the suit off well enough. I hope that you enjoy watching!
Its primary weapon is a beam assault rifle with 550x3 (1700x3) power, 13%x3 (23%x3) heat, 0.5 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 250m (350m) range, 3.5 seconds focus time and 25%x3 (35%x3) stagger value. Uncharged shots have short range and low damage but are pretty effective at stun accumulation. Charged shots have high damage, instant stagger and great accumulation.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 2600 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time, 60% combo modifier and 145% downswing modifier. This has decent power at first glance but the downswing modifier means that it will hit even harder than expected. It shares the same moveset as the Jeda, but with an even longer beam saber.
Its first sub weapon is a beam axe with 2900 power, 3 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 30% combo modifier and 150% downswing modifier. This has poor combo damage but regular downswings will deal pretty insane damage. The short range means that it is often more practical to begin combos with the beam saber, but starting and ending combos with the axe will deal ridiculous damage.
Its second sub weapon is a shield mounted missile launcher with 1500 power, 3 ammo, 4 seconds cooldown, 13 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 350m range and 20% stagger value. This has poor damage but is a pretty easy to use splash instant stagger. It can even be guided to some extent while firing.
Its third sub weapon is a shield mounted grenade launcher with 700 power, 4 ammo, 245 RPM, 12 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 250m range and 35% stagger value. This has short range but has good damage with high stagger value.
Its fourth sub weapon is a set of lock on funnels with 350x6 power, 90% heat, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 22 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time, 250m range and 17%x6 stagger value. This is pretty poor on its own since it has low damage and is impractical to stagger with, but it can sometimes be useful to combo into other weapons with for extra stagger power.
Its fifth sub weapon is a set of follow funnels with 200x6 power, 35% heat, 0.5 seconds cooldown, 22 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time, 200m range and 8%x6 stagger value. These can stagger in just three shots and have fast cooldown time, though they have short range.
The LV1 Psycho Doga has 21500 HP, 20 ballistic resist, 27 beam resist and 25 melee resist. Its durability is nothing exceptional but it is definitely durable enough for frontlining. It has a 30% shield buffer and 15% back binder buffer to further improve survivability. It benefits from having LV1 Maneuver Armor, LV1 Fall Control Program and LV2 Emergency Evasion as well.
It also has 135 walk speed, 220 boost speed, 80 thrust and 75 turning speed. This level of mobility alone is pretty great for a 650 cost general but it is improved further by a great set of skills. It benefits from having LV3 Forced Injector, LV3 Flight Control, LV4 Quick Boost and LV4 Glide Structure. This gives it excellent mobility in general but it is especially good at attacking from above.
Overall I feel like the Psycho Doga is really strong. It has no clear weak point with a loadout that can handle just about any situation, but the melee damage output makes it capable of doing huge damage to just about anybody. I don't think it powercreeps suits like Rebawoo or The-O, but it is strong enough to compete side by side with them without any issues. If you have tokens left over after rolling for Hi-Nu and Nightingale then I can definitely recommend that you roll for the Psycho Doga. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!

1:10 This was... actually kinda crazy. You had half that team going through their "I'LL SAVE YOU!" moment only to end up on their backs themselves. AND THEN by the time it's all over with just a bit of help they're all dead and you're still kicking despite having started that whole fight at half HP.

This suit is a better ranged version of Rebaw, I think both are really great and can be a neat duo!

Christ, Raids just cant catch a break in high costs, 600 are infested with Atlas and MPZZs, 650 have Rebawoos and now this thing and 700 have to deal with Phenex, Unicorns and Hi Nu now.
i faced an ENTIRE TEAM of Hi Nu's, in the 6v6..... using the enhanced ZZ. it was.... an interesting match 😂
Supports can't catch a break with all the raids around either. Seems fair to me that there are better generals around to deal with the raids.
If i get one i`m going to paint mine gold, mostly do the head it heavily reminds me of Five Star Stories's "Knight of gold" 🙂

Sir, can I ask you how you bound your controller buttons? I tried to make some changes myself (such as putting the sprint on L1 to keep my thumb on the right stick) but in the end I still didn't feel comfortable with it and I went back to the keyboard (i play on steam). Problem is, the keyboard is a mess for suits with a lot of weapons and can lead to messy inputs, a nightmare when trying to pull combos.
I use the default controls but you would probably need claw grip to play it properly. L1 boost is probably the best.

Yes. I think it is one of the strongest 650 cost generals. It is close in power to Rebawoo.
